XboxEra Community Hangout |OT13| The Bakers Dozen

Oh for sure, a fellow Alex fan, I see, haha. Videos like these are why I subbed to him last year I believe it was. I discovered him during the whole ABK thing, boy did he destroy console warriors, lmao. I can’t deny that I quite enjoy those videos but not always. This video where he makes all the sense in the world is highly appreciated too.

I too was watching it, but got a bit too distracted by how the color grading seems off compared to previous Penn State games, namely the field looks like they’re using some sort of piss-filter on it. It doesn’t seem as vibrant as their normal games. I blame it on this being broadcast by WBD (tbs, tnt, trutv) instead of Espn or Fox.

Might be using PSSR?

SMU shouldn’t have been in the playoffs, this format is a mess

Maybe, maybe not.

The thing is, what other teams have really been good this year? Sure, kick out SMU and Indiana but then you’re going to replace them with who? Alabama and someone else who played worse during the season?

At least this 12 team format has more of the better teams involved than just the 4 team format. I think they should do a 16 team tournament even if there were only 6 solid teams who can maybe keep up with one another.

“Spider-Man and only Spider-Man from now on!!” Sony in investor meeting

It has been hinted by podcasters that it is in development and will be multiplat day one. Probably going to be shown at the June show if there is one.

I honestly hope this starts discussions about selling the IP back to Marvel.

It’s not going to happen but as a Marvel fan I can dream .

Is anyone playing stalker 2 right now on series x ? If so how is it looking with the new patch

I believe @Jeans has given it more of a spin. But on Series S the controller fixes have been fantastic and much needed.

A-Life did seem improved but still needs work, overall I was getting into the game much more after this patch.

Im very early on and only had an hour or so to play.

It’s better than launch for sure, although I finished it while the game was still bugged a couple weeks ago from missions breaking to bugged spawned enemies, slow downs and strange anomalies like weapons popping in your hands and in your inventory for some reasons. That’s mostly fixed now. AI spawning and behiviors are also improved but not perfect.

Maybe try it and see for yourself. Next patch will probably be early next year. The game while bugged can be finished, but you should keep a few saves at different point just in case, just like the old days.

The game is incredible. It’s worth a try right now imo.

Just watched Alex’s video and I agree with him completely. As many have said including myself, for Microsoft, the console is just going to be one of many entry points into what it’s becoming all about which is the actual platform and eco-system.

Side note - not a Half Life guy or Valve/Steam guy so Half Life 2 requiring an internet connect and the Steam app or whatever it was back then is news to me because I never knew any of this and watching the clip of that interview with Gabe, he wasn’t wrong.

Even someone like me who hated Microsoft’s always online/all digital direction in 2013, more than a decade later, im all digital for both Xbox and PlayStation. The only thing I don’t do is be always online with the console(s) because for me, it’s an inconvenience. However, if a game that I really want to play (such as the Black Ops 6 campaign or Division 1/2), I accept the inconvenience because wanting to play the game outweighs that inconvenience for me.

As I have said before, as long as Microsoft themselves releases a console and still offers Game Pass Ultimate with their published games being day one on the subscription service, im good. :joy:

Its alright i guess. So long as Microsoft acknowledge its hardware community as does what it can for them as customers then i think its fine. But am more of the wait a bit and then see if the results prove to be correct kind of guy. While i think messaging is needed drastically overall from Xbox to its userbase in numerous occasions i can see where Alex is coming from, but again am somewhat doubtful as i have learned not to fully commit to a “vision” someone said until it is proven and with someone like Satya is even more important to be somwhat spectical.

Again not undermineing anybody just stating an opinion on the matter.

Neat. I completely missed the story as to how this came about. Did Sony not have the IP rights, holding only the publishing rights on Playstation with timed exclusivity? Kojima wanted this?

Kojima got the rights back

I do love when this happens as it’s so insane but so typically human too - and it must be a good advert for War Thunder that it seems realistic enough that serving / ex military or military contractors seem to play it so much.

We think we get into arguments here lol - no one has gone so far that they’ve taken top secret military documents from work and published them online to win the fight!
