I 100% relate to the notion your own mind can deceive you, especially when you want something to happen. So congratulations on this! Your intuition was right this time.

I hope everything goes great and this is the beginning of something truly beautiful.

I’m staying away from it this time, want the game to surprise me come December. But it’s good to see the excitement!

Thanks man!

Absolutely! But I always want to stay realistic with truly everything in life, meaning that if the date is great but somehow just isn’t working towards more, so to speak, that’s fine too. The step has been made, a big one at that and this time I’m not gonna sit still for years, wasting it all away. Time doesn’t stand still for anyone, unfortunately.

It’s gonna be nice to have all the available Crash and Spyro on GP. It’s gonna be a comfort just knowing they’re gonna be there any time you want them, that was the genre of 1st party that was missing from GP.

I do wonder if the Xbox handheld will have a camera as I think this would be cool and big for streamers and social media activities like TikTok, YouTube and communication apps like Zoom, what’s app to name a few.

probably not. I don’t think you want to add extra cost

Shortly after Concord closure

PR: We have a fix for FPS need.

Anti-CoD: Woohoo! You hear that?! We don’t need CoD.

Anti-CoD 2: Actually, that is the fix.

Anti-Xbox: Oh…

I’ve been saying Sony has been overspending in Marketing whenever folks have felt like comparing PlayStation and Xbox approaches. Now we have Sony reforming their approach.

  • Cost cuts in different areas
  • Optimization in investment in sales and marketing

Bad news is PS5 Pro isn’t selling well enough for company to be excited. Good news is scalper got what was coming.

I tend to think it will. I think the handheld is more of a push for mobile seeing they’re being blocked by both Apple and google from carrying out their Xbox store strategy. Also, the Switch 2 is rumored to already be including one. Handhelds are already expensive, so I doubt Xbox goes low. I’m expecting it to be 600 dollars, and they’ll have a payment plan with a good number of sellers.

Thing is what does this mean exactly are they going to be contracting their IPs to save money also business structure change sounds too vague.

The four/five games I see being at Developer Direct will be South of Midnight with a release date, Towerborne with an Xbox/1.0 release date, Doom: The Dark Ages with a release date and one or two third party games. Perhaps an Atomfall since it’s day one on Game Pass or perhaps a future Square Enix game. I personally would love to see Microsoft do something with Pearl Abyss and get Crimson Desert on the Developer Direct as I believe this game is going to be massive and be their break out game like The Witcher 3 ended up being for CDPR. Either way, I love Developer Direct and am very much looking forward to it.

First things first though, The Game Awards which should have some good games as it’s Keighley’s baby and he always puts more into it than Summer Game Fest or Opening Night Live.
