Buddy of mine is selling his PS5 Slim digital, he asked me if I’m interested. But digital is a no go for me, I will always want the option for discs.
But even if it was the disc edition, more and more I’m starting to think I might just not need that PS5 at all. I don’t care for Horizon at all, nor God of War really (felt the 2018 game got a bit repetitive tbh way too quickly), I’ve played all Uncharted games, TLOU1 too.
So it would be for the two Spidey games, the two FF7 games, maybe the latest Ratchet and that’s about it. I am not looking for Souls games so Demon Souls won’t be it either. Biggest reason for me is the ever growing backlog on my Xbox and because of new things in life I spend a bit less time gaming.
And I guess I kinda still want to wait and see what the Pro is truly capable of doing. There’s no rush.
ps5 slim can add a disc reader onto it for $80, they’re hard to find now though
Also reading online, the usual suspects (particularly fanboys) say “you don’t need agency or to make choices, it’s the developer’s vision and story not yours” / “too expensive” the same shit they pull when games are completely inaccessible - “the developer shouldn’t pander to your issues” (if like a retailer they were forced to obey disability laws, which I’d hope for, they would have to) and “it costs too much to do that” (when funnily enough indie games often are the most accessible)…

Site update, after my brilliant piece that no one ready about Game of the Year, we’re pushing back our own Game of the Year content to January, so that people have more time to actually play things!

I just checked, a online store here sells them for 130. Wonder if I’d be able to get one for 80 again anytime soon.
I was looking at the games coming soon section on Xbox and I guess bamco has a mecha game coming out called Synduality Echo of Ada. Never even heard of it but I love everything mecha so I’m def going to look into it and I hope it turns out good lol
I think that was at a recent Xbox thing, it’s a PvPvE extraction shooter.

Going live
I got a PS5 last year to play “all the great games I’m missing out on”. It mostly gathers dust now I’ve done Spiderman, FF16, etc. Part of that is because game prices on PS5 never seem to come down for their tent-pole games. I’m not paying £70 (digital) for something i might not enjoy, and will probably last less than 20 hours. Almost all multiplats are cheaper on Xbox, even on sites like CD Keys.
