Do not fall for corpo speak, it means nothing in practice. It just leaves avenues open.

I get that PoP was great, but Nintendo is in a different league as in fans will grab just about anything. So, yeah.
Now Iâm not talking about the actual implementation of âActivity Cardsâ, but as a concept Iâd like to see Activity implementation that meets the following user scenarios:
- Ability to launch the game using the last played saved (skips all loading logos, cutscenes, main menus)
- Ability to launch into specific points of the game tied to specific Achievement youâre working on.
Ability 2 means a lot of work by the developers to craft a save system and game engine which is fluid enough to support it. The System Level Activity system is simply enough, in that it merely passes some parameters to the Game Executable when launching it such as the Activity Id. All the real work is within each individual game to handle the details.
Because of that extra amount of work, this system feature will never take off at all.
CoD on gamepass has got a bunch of my friends who used to play, but havent bought one in years back on and on Xbox. Cool to see
I beg you and everyone else, please take this there. I muted that thread long ago, and I would hate for that stuff to bleed over into here more than it already has.
Maybe Iâm a conspiracy theorist but it seems odd that as well as the Xbox tax, too often games that launch into Game Pass get a penalty too - and if they donât, it feels like some late PlayStation sites give strangely low scores to drag down a Metacritic thatâs being too good for a âGame Pass gameâ.
Case in point, Mechwarrior 5: Clans - 82 or so on MC, think higher on OC, everyone praising it apart from minor issues and the fact itâs very much a fan service (a plus in my opinion for games set in storied universes).
Now PushSquare have given it 5 out of 10 which will help bring those scores down (in general the PS media seems lower than the rest too).
They could argue itâs because they gave it to someone whoâs never played Mechwarrior - instead they were apparently expecting Gundam or Armored Core - but I have noticed theyâre consistently one point or more behind PureXbox (their sister site) for any game that launches into Game Pass.
Probably doesnât help that Microsoft owns the licence for Battletech games too, but thinking this is probably more wrong reviewer plus a general disdain from PS sites for any game thatâs Day 1 on GP (funnily enough, often the opposite for PS Plus day 1 games)âŚ

Been a long time since he has posted something at X.
Lol given the often toxic nature of CoD voice chat I suspect itâs a case of going to the site much of the player base will be onâŚ
Seconded, the community overwhelmingly agreed the last five times this has been brought up.
To me it reminds me of the Halo effect in psychology which is funnily on point !!
Just the fact that the game released on GP (and also maybe because itâs a MS owned IP) gives the game a bad aura in some inconscious part of these reviewersâ mind.
Itâs so widely observed in the medias that even though itâs hard to pinpoint the biases, itâs a sentiment that is shared widely in the Xbox community.
Thatâs why I donât care about these reviews anymore because they are not meant for me but for the fanboys that need to be reassured about their choice of platform and feel that they are not missing out.
Iâve been arguing that one of the greatest things about Game Pass is that it democratizes gaming, especially in the sense that some mustache-twirling critic (sarcasm) no longer gets to gatekeep gaming based on their review. When everyone who subs can try a game out and review it for themselves, it makes those people irrelevant⌠Iâd argue thereâs more than validity to the argument that critics are equally as anti-GP as they are anti-Xbox, largely for that reason.
Will do, I couldnât find it but now I have it again.
Today is special: Call of duty on Gamepass Is very very huge. I donât interest into multiplatform strategy: all Xbox games could be released on PS. They Will pay to susbtain gamepass. If you wanna play all XBOX games with a decente price you Will force to subribe the service.
I think weâll see also some Exclusives but only timed Exclusives.
Times are changing also for PS: I could see PC releases at launch in the near future for all line-up
Shouldâve stayed away to be honest, literally just keep the account there so no one can take it and just ignore it completely.
I just spent 4 hours trying to buy a garbage can for my kitchen. What am I doing with my life?
Being an adult.
Not a fan.
Also, seconded.
