Isn’t tone mapping usually recommended to enable for correct HDR? However, that being said, that’s what the “pros” always say, but I often have left tone mapping off and liked the picture way more that way. Inaccurate? Perhaps, great? Yes.

Yes, tonemapping is how HDR works, but I meant any AI “auto” tonemapping for sd sources and even regular sources with HDR. I don’t even know if that’s a thing on most tv’s, but I’ve found that most tv manufacturers will do everything they can to ruin media content.

I mean, they’ll need more than 1 game based on a franchise that was already established before we can trust them.
Not that I hated their games, like I actually enjoyed The Medium, but it seems people are very resentful these days and take a long time before they trust companies.

I suggest reading the actual GameSpot article and specifically the actual quote. They were talking about the games they made before 2016 but everyones just turning it into clickbait because its still fun to kick certain studios.

Soooo excited! I’ve been reading my Dragon Age books and watching Jackdaw videos all week.
I do wonder how it will review. Obviously I hope the game is received as a return to form for BioWare but I don’t think scores above 85 are going to happen regardless of how good the game is. BioWare is just not one of the “cool kids” anymore.

That’s the thing about Silent Hill. It’s meant to be a look inside the minds of it’s protagonists. Every monster you fight in the game is manifested from the main character, ( one of the things the movie version didn’t seem to get hence why you have the Nurses and Pyramid Head showing up when they really shouldn’t have) I can understand being put off by such things, the first three were great games but not for everyone.

You can create a few simple .jpg or ,png (solid red, blue, and green) pictures and view them in the TV’s picture viewer as slides (or from Xbox/PC). This will tell you if the shimmer is caused by one of the color pixels or all of them.

What a joy to re-experience this game with that amazing 80s setting, I have a soft spot for the 80s, best time to be born for damn sure. A real big shame that for some reason the Michael Jackson songs Billie Jean and Wanna be startin’ Something were taken out.
I remember the very first time I played VC, I jumped on that scooter and Billie Jean was on, just so damn good.
