they’re ‘karts’ that are better at driving than any real car. You are supposed to go find fun things to do, like the game people hoped they were emulating, forza horizon.
But the open world literally has challenges all over the place. It has been shown repeatedly in preview footage.
Edit:
this one is not perfect (built in battery) but that’s a good news to have a new, long life, controller
note that the date (10 june) is not exact but the pre order date is not far from it
Being someone that likes to play couch coop with friends, I have 4 controllers and I am very happy with it but I fear the drift as many poeple, whatever the console company, reports drift issues with official controllers (dualsense, joy con, xbox controllers do not have hall effect to prevent drift)
I’ve had drift on one controller out of 15+ over the years. Sent it in under warranty and got a free replacement from MS.
People like to complain, so they’re gonna complain about every single case of stick drift, making it sound like some sort of universal issue. People also throw their controllers around the living room and wonder why they develop issues.
Not saying that controllers can’t develop drift, but I’m pretty sure the whole issue is somewhat overblown. (Joycons seem to be the only ones with an actual hardware design problem.)
Every controller I have bought that doesn’t have hall effects has stick drift. Sometimes it can start as soon as a week after buying it new.
So the problem may not be wide spread but it’s definitely a problem and one I run into often enough to not want to buy 1st party controllers.
But I also can’t say I’m not the problem, but that still means buying 3rd party is the only solution.
Oh man, the right one looks awesome.
But is this the controller that doesn’t have rumble? Because that’s a must for me. And does it have paddles? Because I can’t without them anymore.
At the risk of being the “works on my machine” guy, yeah, I’ve owned dozens of controllers across Xbox 360/One/Series X, PS1/2/3/4/5, and various Nintendo systems and I think I’ve encountered one serious problem with stick drift.
There is additional back and top buttons but I have no idea how the vibration compares to Xbox controller
I hope they show Ghost of Yotei and maybe a new Resident Evil. That rumor about a 2D God of War metroidvania, woof.
Same, I still have a perfectly-functioning Elite V1 with well over 2000 hours on it The only controllers I’ve ever had issues with (that weren’t the old, shitty Nyko controllers) were the Switch Joycons and the DualShock 4.
Ill +1 the “that guy” club.
I have, all kinds of controllers at least six standard series pads, at least as many standard Xbox One controllers, Switch Pro, Wii/Wii U pro controllers, Dual shocks, Dual sense, a Elite Series 2, the list goes on.
I have never had stick drift on any of them or issues with bumpers or buttons. I will provide the caveat that l only play exclusives on PS, so those dont get as much use as my Xbox ones.
I cant speak to Joycons because I dont use them due to being too small to use physically.
Im not saying that this applies to anyone here specifically, but sometimes I dont think people realize how rough they actually are on them. That isnt meant to diminish how frustrating the issue is regardless.
I remember back in the N64 days my cousins N64 analog sticks (which are admittedly chincy as hell) were just loose and flopping all over the place. He insisted that he just used it normally. He was over at our house for a family holiday gathering and we were playing something and I was watching him and his knuckles were white he was pressing so hard on the stick and buttons.
To this day all of my N64 controller sticks work like the day I got them.
I googled it and found a Reddit link. This is wireless on PC, but wired for Xbox?
Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer now on Xbox Series X|S Doesn’t appear to be on Xbox One.
RIDDDDDGE RACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR!!!
Ah MisterxMedia! Getting kinda nostalgic all of a sudden.
