I do somewhat agree with him to a certain extent though, and considering salaries have grown exponentially over the years yet game prices haven’t, I feel like like we are getting a very good deal even at 80$ if I am being honest. It sucks having to shell out all of that money for a game, but then when I go to the cinema with the whole familly and buy the popcorn, soda and candies bundle to go along with the movie tickets, I’m pretty close to that 80$ for a 2h experience yet when I was younger you could go see a movie for half that price easily. Yet, game prices haven’t doubled in price in the same amount of time.
I know some will say if they charged less they’d sell more but in the end I don’t think the math would ad up. Unfortunately some will fall and disappear and there will be a contraction in the industry but this is just the way things are heading.
Just glad we got Gamepass to somewhat absorb the cost of all of this!
Several hours into Doom TDA and I can confidently say that 2016 towers above it similar to Eternal. Kudos to id for making three unique feeling titles under the same IP. Their first effort remains the best.
Its interesting that people are so seemingly evenly split on which of the trilogy is their fave. Which I think shows their strategy of doing something new each time bears fruit.
(Not debating which is peoples fave, its just neat we all get one)
I respectfully disagree. It’s more of what people liked from DOOM 2016 with more open arenas, more focused gameplay and level design and a crazy and over the top story. You’re like Hulk with guns and Captain America’s shield fighting through hordes of enemis like it’s Vampire Survivors.
I have the latest Syberia, bought it because I quite liked the demo but I’ve yet to start it. I might just wait for this to come out first now. But I believe there’s also a Syberia 2, so yeah, not ideal to wait on the other hand.
The first two Syberia games tell a single story together. Without the second the first game ends on a rather incomplete and head scratching tone.
They would need a lot of work to remake this in the style of the latest game. These games are 3D characters on 2D prerendered backgrounds a la Resident Evil.
I agree that paying for Ultimate should preclude you from seeing ads. But, I almost never notice the ads and if I do I quickly look past them so it doesn’t really matter for me. On principle though, it would be nice if they didn’t exist for paying subscribers.
Man get out of here with that you’re not paying game pass ultimate for no ads you’re paying ultimate you can have day one releases and you’re basically paying for online combined with it. You wanna know how I don’t see it. I’m playing games not worry about a freaking dashboard that bad Like man y’all gotta get out of that bro play a game stop worrying about a dashboard
Mine can be up for quite some time tbh, when I’m getting ready to play or between apps etc. I have…other things going on sometimes. It’s nice with the big dynamic backgrounds on a 65".
