Yes, but a lot of fans didn’t like it because it was in 3D and it was different, which is a shame because it’s a great game. I loved it when it came out and the Soundtrack is still one of my favorites.

Chrono Cross is one of the greatest RPGs, with a soundtrack that’s equally in the same standing. The remaster has some cool variations on some of the tracks as well, and it’s like discovering something you love, all over again. Cannot recommend Chrono Cross enough… I even prefer it to Trigger, as much as I love it.

There was, recently I learned the original was Radical Dreamers and was retold and replaced with Chrono Cross.
There was also apparently there was a remaster of Chrono Cross in 2022 and I don’t remember anyone making much noise about. But that was three years ago, maybe people were super excited about it.
I certainly hope this happens, I would like to remind there is an upcoming Xbox rpg called Threads of time shown at TGS last year.

No, it isn’t. Say they do make a remake do you think it would be 2D or 3D and what would it look like?
I would prefer they go with a new 2D game like Chained Echos or Octopath Traveler, but I feel they would go with a 3D game like they did with Seiken Densetsu 2.
I wish they would remaster or remake Xenogears. It already had the 2D sprites on 3D backgrounds thing going on. Uprez that bitch and rerelease it!

All that Chrono Trigger talk reminds me of the Chrono Trigger Resurrection project that was shut down by SE in the early 2000s, I was so excited for it. For those that don’t know about it: Chrono Trigger Remake - Chrono Resurrection
I think the game could lend itself really well to 3D considering Toriyama’s art style looks really good in the Dragon Quest games imo, so making the jump to 3D for Chrono Trigger would be amazing I think if given the proper ressources.

The style translates really well into 3d, people weren’t happy with the DBS Superhero movie when it was announced as 3D. But people warmed up to it after seeing it and this movie is likely the most up to date Toriyama’s style has been in 3D.
Decided to start sharing some Elden Ring and Dark Souls design/lore videos from Zulli The Witch, Zulli generally makes videos of From Software design choices with some commentary on how that may have led to choices in the lore.

Expedition 33 broke another CCU record on Steam today, I knew it had to be getting even more players when I saw it go up on Xbox’s most played games again over a week after launch, that is always a sign that word of mouth is getting out there and people are trying it, wouldn’t be shocked if it has already sold 2 million copies, God I hope it sells 3 times more than FF16 or gets 3 times as many players with Game Pass.
Also looking forward to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers which will launch on Game Pass and could be the next unexpected big hit like Expedition 33.
