I just want journalists to stay consistent in their coverage. What happened to Concord is really sad, especially for the devs, so yeah it is not funny to put the game down even further. At the same time, I donāt remember them being so kind towards games like Redfall. I would say, some were really happy the game was not doing great.

I think heās trying to balance it for all platforms by stating each has one āfail,ā even though the timing and definition of fail varies are against him. Basically, should have been focus on one platform. Period.

Half the discussion in certain venues was trying to compare Concord to Starfield. Like lol what? You can be as personally disappointed in Starfield as you want to be, thatās your opinion and itās legit. But to paint it as a failed game at all, let alone a failed game that belongs in the same universe as the Concord discussion, is console war 101.
People trying to compare this to Cyberpunk, Redfall, Anthemā¦ even Final Fantasy XIV 1.0ā¦ this is just on a whole other level than any other game āfailureā however you want to define it. Even Brink and Battleborn were nowhere near as DOA as this game was.

Now itās suddenly āall sidesā but he delights when Xbox is having a bad time.
Also the Xbox fans arenāt celebrating anywhere near as hard as the PlayStation ones - most are cheering the failure of Sonyās live service strategy, and the toxic ones for other reasons too

Personally, ending Concord is the better decision. Game isnāt going to do anything so why keep it alive plus theyāre refunding everyone so no loss outside of personal time. Sony should make Firewalk a support studio for Bungie and their other live service games since they probably all need help one way or the other.
I ventured onto Threads (as Twitter is now a Nazi-infested hellhole) to see the reaction to all the different news today.
And in amongst the usual trending stuff and news about gaming, there were more āwhatās this? / How can I treat this?ā questions than I expected, most seemed to be American.
For example one āIāve a big red bite mark type thing swelling on my forehead, pain radiating down to my jawā with pictures, and all Iām thinking is āgo see your GP or go to A&E, donāt wait and ask people online!ā
Really makes me glad to live in a country with free healthcare - as I canāt imagine insurance (or lack of) / insurance excess being so bad you instead choose to crowdsource your medical advice!
