I do feel a bit vindicated because I’ve been saying that Xbox needs to make their own and I got a lot of pushback for it.

I realize you can use any tablet and controller, but having everything in a convenient package where I don’t have to worry about getting calls or notifications on it would be great. Also a full sized controller plus a screen is much better than other alternatives.

I think a cloud-only portable from Xbox will not be received well and will face pushback especially when they are developing native portable… so if a cloud-only portable comes out, it can confuse and mix the Xbox Portable in people’s minds before it’s even released.

For sure. My only hope is that Logitech, Asus, and others look at the PS Portal and essentially does the same with the Xbox controller. Make it a functional controller and (I’ve mentioned this before in another thread) I’d use it for everyday gaming because it’s better for posture with the wider grip.

That’s actually insane. I never know this series had a huge following. What’s hilarious the media aren’t making articles like they did for wukong and bg3 for the temporary exclusive saying Microsoft has a popular exclusive not on playstation.

The views on trailers were always high 2-4m usually so I assumed it would sell well. It was a niche cult game that developed a big following with time, with streamers and content creators, and made new fans.

The fear I had is this current generation was going to end the franchise because of “style at the time” gameplay. Thankfully, many fans from the past and even some new one of today assured this game is still meaningful.

Stalker doesn’t play like many games. In an age where we supposedly want radical new things all the time and then lap up ancient design structures with glee (Ghosts of Tsushima, a beautiful game, springs to mind) it’s not revolutionary or particularly novel, but it is a rarer type of game, especially in the mainstream glare.

…I was thinking of something with a traditional controller like the Portal instead of something that has Switch-like controller. The GameCube keyboard controller was the best example up until the Portal came out. maxresdefault (5)1280×720 198 KB
