Was Game Informer print only, or were they also a website? If print only, I’m kinda surprised they lasted this long.

Titan Quest 2 looks real good. Interested in seeing Tarsier’s next game at Opening Night Live. Best of all, a new DARKSIDERS game is in development. Better be Gunfire Games developing it and give me STRIFE!!!

In what ways do you think?

Also a website

They are affiliated with GameStop. If you subscribe to GameStops membership for the year then you also get a free year of Game Informer magazine (digital or print). Basically the magazine was being propped up by GameStop, I’m guessing 99% of subscribers to Game Informer magazine were getting it for free from their $20 a year Game Stop membership.

I think you will see more companies entering into the platform industry by way of Xbox’s hybrid approach to gaming. The companies that have entered like ASUS, LENOVO and the rest will have a bigger imprint and Sony just might go handheld as well.

Been saying this for years. I don’t know how people can tolerate him passed being a decent reporter. Seems like a bare minimum to me.

That’s OK with me, as long as I still get a powerful console to connect to the TV too. Handhelds are just not for me at all.

That’s pretty cool and great advertising!

It did look good and might be something I’ll get. I don’t think we got the first one, did we? Even Gothic Remake could be nice after all, it did not look as bad as I expected to be honest. The original will always have a special place in my heart, so if they do this right I’ll be there. Still no date though, nor platforms.

I think Titan Quest was PC only back in the day but I may be wrong on that. No interest in Gothic Remake but it looks alright. 2025 at the earliest is my guess for both games.

Not to discount your point here, but I personally think the game could use more time to hit its maximum potential. I am sure pretty much everyone will disagree with me on this (because there’s no evidence for my stance) but every time I saw the game I saw indications that it’s the sort of game that had all the systems in place and nailed the gameplay but needed a level of polish that the 4-5 months they had left wouldn’t cover completely. As in, they would only get 90% there. And I think it’s rooted in an unfair situation where their game is being compared to games that had a far lengthier development time like Balders Gate 3. So when I say polish I’m talking about that level of quality.

They’re not that sort of studio, of course, but they’re going to be unfairly compared to Blizzard games and so on.

Secondly, with the game ported to Unreal Engine 5 fairly recently, extra time in optimization as well as polishing some of the effects can make this one of the most impressive looking titles out there.

With Hellblade 2 just out, the Coalition working on the next Gears, and State of Decay 3 long into development It seems like a good time to leverage all of their UE5 knowledge and take a bit of extra time to really impress. With a good number of games getting at least 18 months of working with UE5 it seemed odd that this game would get 6 months of working with it and optimizations that go along with that.

I think with this extra time that the title will look and feel like an AAA game. Really smart move of them to move to UE5 this late into development. Surprising to do it this late, but I think it’s really going to impress.

Most likely they won’t really be able to be polish the game in 4-5 month to a degree that we the players will be able to notice and BG3 wasn’t polished at all despite being in EA for three years on release and still reviewed and sold well. So I’m not even sure polish matters overall.

If I remember correctly, TC already made a team that will be helping out or are already doing so, while NT is great at what they do what they could provide is motion capture expertise and optimization help along with TC.

Motion capture is out imo, as that would extend the games development time way too much specially in an RPG that will have a heavy focus on multiple different species and a large cast of NPC.

Also, Balders Gate 3 was pretty buggy for a lot of people on launch, some reviews mentioned this, and they still gave it 10.
