Got this controller the other weekend.

My search for more then 2 years come to the end.

Fits on any tablet size and phones with a small trick.

My 10inch tablet is now my mega handheld.

He’d better be our best mate in it and not turn out to be an enemy - I don’t think I could kill Garrus!

Kamen Rider?

I do have to wonder could Microsoft’s Xbox handheld be something bigger or play a bigger part in Microsoft’s future strategy. Apple came out with iPhone in 2007 despite not ever being in the phone business. Apple simply expanded on their iPod to have phone capabilities and presto. I just wonder can a handheld gaming device be expanded to become a phone or communicating device?

It having the ability to use Teams to make calls via the internet is actually quite likely - but I suspect if you wanted a mobile SIM version you’d have to go more to the Surface line (some of those have had them in the past).

I doubt they’d use it to start challenging the iPhone / Android duopoly though - maybe at a point when we’ve got WiFi covering vast areas (my UK city already has it covering the whole city centre, but I’m thinking a decade or more) then Microsoft could be best placed to take on both the duopoly and the mobile networks by offering Teams as a standard for VoIP.

At that point, @Jez might be the happiest person ever :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think a Steam Deck-sized smartphone is the way to go. (Most people already have a smartphone-sized smartphone.)

But a dockable handheld might do well. Maybe with an external GPU in the dock.

Common capitalism L, I hope at least the Xbox division is doing better in security. But then again Microsoft did get hacked and likely Xbox as well.

Let’s not think about it. The last thing they need is PSN hacked balooza. Did you know there’s some out there who refused to play PS because of it, no matter if they got 40 GOTG titles.

Already shaping Gamescom to be special.

And only 2 months away…

It’s a good enough reason and while I’m not planning on going anywhere. This sort of thing will likely hurt Microsoft in the long run, specially because just how many people are angry over the recall feature they’re planning for future AI PCs.

If it does get to that point I will unlink my PayPal for sure, because I can’t be having mofos buying stuff with my PayPal.

I would only ever link a credit card for online purchasing because of the protections that come with them. Anything else is asking for it.

I don’t have a credit card myself. But of course I have my PayPal secured. They will still need to know my password if they try to use. At least, I hope so.
