I hope Visions of Mana will support HDR, and proper at that. Those colours and effects would pop like a mofo! But even if there’s no HDR it will pop, the trailer is SDR and those colours are superb.

Anyone comparing a game the size of Outlaws to the nearly-unparalleled size of Starfield to make that kind of idiotic comparison says a lot more about their ignorance than as any legitimate dig against Starfield. But today’s world is all about being loud, ignorant, and boisterous… as opposed to having something of value to say.

Not to mention the fact that you avoid feature disparity for gamers, not unlike when Sony introduced the original DualShock and the updated PS3 DualShock 3, where gamers and devs alike were caught in the middle.

In addition to those six games, add Astro Bot, Stalker 2, Lego Horizon, Space Marine 2, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, possibly Silent Hill 2 (im 50/50 on it) and perhaps Towerborne and you would have my almost 15 game list starting in late August through the rest of 2024.

So those meltdown tweets by Shawn Layden were legit after all? I truly thought either his account got hacked or it was just a fake account. If legit, super embarrassing. Then again, these extreme fanboys that are around must have learned their embarrassing behaviour from someone and that’s probably him then, sheesh.

Honestly, I’ve no idea. I saw the tweet the other day and could not believe it was the real one. But plenty accounts are now acting as of its legit. Including Yong Yea even, saying that Shawn chose violence. I told him no he chose to be embarrassing.

Wasn’t Shawn Layden in power when Cambridge and Evolution Studios were shut down? I think people should be more critical of him and his tenure and he should just shut up.

I’ve watched that trailer too many times now lol. It shows a lot if you played the first two games. The gun that Joanna uses electrifies the first enemy while shooting a regular bullet into the next guy who busts through the door. I didn’t play much of Perfect Dark Zero but in the N64/360 remake, every gun has a secondary firing mechanism/function. The top left hand corner of the HUD shows multiple objectives. In the first game you were given multiple objectives per mission that would change depending on the difficulty you chose. They showed hand to hand combat and disarm moves. In the first game you could disarm enemies with a punch and take their weapons.

There is a part where she shoots what looks like a wall mounted fire extinguisher temporarily blinding the enemies. So there are ways to use the environment to your advantage during a firefight.

They were showing a lot of “immersive sim” elements in that trailer (which they confirmed in that Xbox article) it’s seeming like Perfect Dark might be a reboot in the vein of Doom 2016 and KI instead of what many thought ( and some even hoped ) they’d do. Make something completely different and slap the Perfect Dark name onto it.

It seems people on Twitter think Shawn is going at Phil because of his “slimy” comment. I think he should just behave like a grown ass man. Damn
