To be fair. This is Nintendo’s MO too. I am always reading how the switch library is one of the greatest ever. And I look and half the library is re-releases of games that came out for previous Nintendo systems.
Hell, two of their biggest remaining titles for this year are a remake of a DS game and a remake of a GameCube game.
My only complaint with remakes and remasters is I wish more games were given the love something like The Last of Us or Skyrim has been given. Is it excessive? Absolutely, but I’m glad to see more being done to keep incredible games not only up to date for audiences, but to help make the accessible to a wider audience. Particularly in this era of subscription services where these games will be consistently available for generations on game pass I’d love to see Xbox do more of this.
i think the difference here is ‘nobody’ owned a Gamecube or a WiiU and you can’t insert your Gamecube or WiiU disc in the Switch. So there is some logic to Nintendos ports of older Pikmin games, Mario World, Toads Treasure Tracker, Luigi Mansion and so on.
On the other hand Sony already released Uncharted 1 on PS4 and it can be played on PS5. I don’t see the point here really.
Getting a bit pissed off with Xcloud now. Thats half a dozen times over the weekend ive not been able to start persona 3 due to long wait times or server error. Took me 15 mins to get into game yesterday
Palworld can go fuck off or ruining the xcloud servers.
Xcloud has been broken for several months, even before Palworld was released. I guess Microsoft has stopped development of Xcloud (it’s still in beta, after all) and is using the servers for other reasons. Otherwise all these slowdowns can’t be explained, I doubt Xbox cloud gaming is so popular…
I don’t know, I was playing Yakuza 4 on it when I decided to start the game. I find that if I couldn’t get on early enough that other people where using it, Yakuza 4 started up and ran pretty well.
You would think they’d waive the “pay to play online” requirement for a game with a subscription. Does Sony also force you to have PS+ for this game? Seems dumb to me.
Lol, not dead. But with the rumors flying around, many think it spells the end, eventually anyway.
