I think it all depends on the specific phone hardware. You will have to do specific search for this.
Some tablets and portable PCs have explicit support for HDMI / Display Panel over USB-C. For instance, The Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go have explicit support for this. However, I dont know if my Android Samsung S5E tablet supports it since its from before this was even a thing.
If your phone is older and doesnt have USB C connection directly, dont be surprised if it doesn’t work.
Ah that specific model, then no don’t waste your money.
It doesn’t support HDMI alt mode unfortunately - there’s apparently some MiraPlug cable that works with an app on the phone that might be able to do it, but I’d probably read reviews on them to check it works with that specific model
Guess I’ll just watch the videos on my phone then. I have a laptop here as well, I might be able to do it that way too. First have to copy the videos to it though.
You mean the cast to device icon, right? It streams all videos on my phone fine, except for these. For some reason it says it can’t cast them to my TV, sigh. They are Mp4 files.
I downloaded them from a site via a all video downloader app on Android. Maybe something about the file types isn’t playing nice here. Annoying. These files do play fine in mx player though, just won’t cast to TV
BUT
Fixed it, more or less. I am playing the same videos with subtitles working via laptop, hdmi cable from it to TV, done!
The free climbing introduced in Origins I want 100% no matter what.
I was talking about the map icons/markers like the “?” icons you see on the map. I prefer them to be like this and when you get to the location, you discover what’s there. I’m NOT a fan of the BOTW style where I have to look for every point of interest in the game. That’s just a waste of my time which is why I said that open world games should have an on/off option for all the map icons/markers so everyone can play the game the way they want.
