I believe it’s for Fallout TV series reviews embargo dropped and looks like Xbox has got its banger in its TV section.

Xbox really slept through with CoD Warzone Mobile and their multiplatform plan for last quarter to work. Now, they’re awake.

Well at least they have one game dev giving out the game awards eh? A legendary one at that with Romero but shouldn’t they all be devs?

And then what, Jez? Have us still wait until 2035 or so? It doesn’t work that way.
That being said, I’m a bit surprised the Fallout 4 patch was not dropped as “surprise” alongside the show.

It’s a re-re-remake.
Part of me does think Bethesda sells well enough to have two teams, with Todd acting as an overseer of both rather than micromanaging.
The games might benefit too - his approach in recent years of trying to do every possible gaming system (crafting, base building, ship building, black market, smuggling etc.) in as huge a game as possible could do with someone else’s input sometimes it feels like…
I’d rather have a Starfield 2 more on the scale of a Mass Effect, a Fallout 5 more on the scale of The Outer Worlds and maybe ok still big Elder Scrolls 6 from them in the next 10 years or so than just ES6…

So that’s where my sacrifice for Cody to win went to…
I saw a thread on Other era : Wanted Dead was like 15€ on sale and I decided to give it a try. And wow it has really janky animations (I don’t like that term but it really is) but it’s pretty addictive.
Weird game with wild sequences and overly long cinematics, but I like it. It’s just unalduterated fun. We don’t have this kind of games anymore and that’s a shame. It really reminisce the good old 360 days of janky 3rd person games.
Hope they aren’t well…lying.
But were the sales of the first remake not good? Such a shame if true. People scream they want a remake, they get one, so…buy it?
OMG YESSSSS

I would sacrifice his credibility to cope. But yeah, choose what you will.
Apparently the core gaming community wanted a Dead Space but only a few of us bought it…and the sad part is that it was a fuckin’ amazing remake (probably the best along with REmake 1). Oh well…some series of games are cursed and Dead Space is for another time proving that for whatever reason is not an appealing IP for a big percentage of the community.
To be honest the late 2022 to early 2024 horror line-up (or horror supernova as a good friend of mine called it) that started with The Callisto Protocol until the recent Alone in the Dark didn’t do that well sales wise, only REmake 4 did decent and that’s Resident Evil and a remake based on a fuckin’ Classic videogame. I guess horror games are pretty much dead in the next 5-6 years, I doubt any publisher will greenlight any horror projects after the recent sales flops.
Protip : get acquainted with “guard cancelling”. I honestly began to hate this game a few hours into it because enemies felt like bullet sponges . The Cyborg Ninja ( which I heard got patched recently) could take a grenade launcher to the face without even flinching and just sprint forward to kill me in like 3 strikes. Just as I was ready to uninstall, I saw one particular review where the guy actually dived into the games mechanics, some of which aren’t spelled out for the player. (like guard cancel)
Using Capcom’s Alien vs Predator beat em up as an example ( there is a video of a guy playing in like a DMC game near infinitely juggling enemies in a way I had no idea one could do, playing Lynn Kurosawa) would make games with meta you might not find out without experimentation. Few games today are made in such away. Anyway guard cancelling my sword strikes could not only extend your combos but guard cancelling into machine gun (with slowdown mechanic) will melt those pesky bullet spongy cyber ninja defenses very quickly making the game so much more fun to play., it also helps a lot against the final boss.
It’s no GOTY by any stretch, as you said there is quite a bit of jank to be found and later stages will have you fighting tough enemies in closed areas where the camera will spaz the fuck out on you at times. But I ended up speed running the game multiple times on regular difficulty without using the “cat ears” and I plan to play “Japanese hard” mode when I get back to it eventually.
I just played dead space remake on gamepass. It was awesome
I bought Dead Space remake day one, it’s a shame we’re not getting the second one
