That’s ideal, borrowing it from your brother. I did the same with PS4 for games like Uncharted 4. I kept telling myself that this is the year I get a PS4, but I still had plenty on Xbox One. PS4 Pro came out, but then we got the news about Xbox One X and I just never got around to buying a PS4, lol. My intention is to not make a repeat of that this generation,…but…who knows?
I’m not exactly dying that much to play the Spidey games, Horizon from what I’ve played at bro’s, eh, I would definitely check out Ghost of Tsushima, but I got plenty big open world titles in the backlog as it is. But there will also be GTA 6. Let’s see what kind of advantages that’ll have on a PS5 Pro.
Yeah, we’ll see what happens with everything, lol. The Switch is being the good old dust collector for years now, with every now and then some MK8, Xbox pretty much gets all the attention.
The Switch (as a handheld) is actually the daily in our household, it’s always in use! On the rare occasion I do get time to myself I play on the Series X but it’s maybe 1-2 times a week tops.
Throwing another a console in the mix would just collect dust, for example my PS4 was maybe turned on once in 2023?
It’s why I’m really considering getting something like a Steam Deck or ROG Ally. The handheld form factor would allow me to play more often, having 3 girls in the house I rarely get a choice in anything . Plus the Sony games are often really cheap on CD Keys (for Steam) so I’d get to play them in addition to my Xbox games (Greenlight/XBplay) and existing Steam library. With my birthday around the corner I’m thinking of finally treating myself .
I know right. It’s why I would love to see the Xbox store and library come over to PC either through Play Anywhere or the OS. I wouldn’t mind if they have to charge separate meaning twice or they charge extra to make the games Play Anywhere.
Great choice. Did you just finish it recently? Playing that and Hi Fi back to back last year was the highlight of the gen so far for me. Stunningly good.
I’ve always struggled to get into footy games since Pro Evo went away. I think the last FIFA I really enjoyed was the first FIFA street and that a long time ago!!
I can only dream I guess about a proper football game with a fleshed out career mode. I mean how cool would it be if EA or another company would make a footy game that looks good, plays great and has a mode in which you can be a single player on the pitch making a career for yourself from the lower leagues to the World Cup final f.e. with AI that doesn’t feel like it’s from decades ago like with the current career mode.
The current state of career mode is pretty laughable and sometimes I wonder if they even play test it themselves.
Guess they don’t need to, as it still sells millions every year with minimal effort.
I downloaded it when it hit EA Play and uninstalled it after about 5 hours of play, by far the shortest time I’ve ever spent with a Footie game. The lack of real development of the career mode has pretty much killed any interest in these games for me.
Does anyone know if the Sword and Fairy DLC ever came to consoles, Xbox in particular? It continues the story and I’m definitely interested, since I just finished the main game. But I can’t find much on it, except that it released for PC in 2023 with it coming to consoles later for free.
I’m usually switching between 3-4 games, as it helps me not get burnt out on any long games like persona. Specially because how long to beat is completely wrong about my gaming habits.
