XboxEra Community Hangout |OT11| It Goes To 11!

FYI Fallout Shelter Online was released in 2020. I think only in Asia and it’s heavy P2W.

It is fake news because we’re seeing remaster, and like the recent remasters by Bethesda they won’t be REmake 2/3/4 levels of work. So saying likely going to be a remake is literally settings everything up for that negative news click bait.

Even actual sites like Polygon are going with that MS completely misjudged BG3, but that word second run doesn’t even have anything to do with that.

Journalism of today is a JOKE!

Yes, the speculation part about it it being remake is utter nonsense, true.

No one expected BG3 to be this big anyway. Literally no one.

Not even Larian.

Thank you.

Everyone was expecting Elden Ring to be success.

That was not the case with BG3. We all know that Larian make fantastic games, but not on that scale of a GOTY candidate and that everyone is in love .

And that’s Jeff Grubb saying that. He absolutely adores Nintendo and runs a Nintendo podcast (which is quite good imo). People need to chill.

Xbox will always be the “bitch eating crackers” to most of the so called “gaming community”. It’s just the reality of the situation. All the eye rolling fake ass “outrage” and now Phil Spencer is the antichrist of gaming and Xbox will destroy gaming from third place somehow. What an absolute farce gaming discourse has become.

Bethesda exclusives and new controller got me really hyped for the future of Xbox.

I meant sales. Dark Souls were not that mainstream big. Actually, same as for audience. People got the taste of its famous difficulty.

As exciting (or unexciting) that Bethesda game list may seem, I wouldn’t take all of it as a confirmation, except for what has been announced and/or released.

Most, if not all, of this info is before MS acquired them.

BG3 is just simply an anomaly. Very special moment in gaming.

I know Phil just spoke up about plans changing but original plans had Bethesda releasing at least one mainline Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Starfield each, every 5 years. Can you imagine a generation that had Elder Scrolls VI, Starfield, Fallout 5, and Starfield 2 then starts off the next gen with Elder Scrolls VII in the first 2 years. Thats everything I dreamed of haha.

Don’t want to stop you dreaming man but I can’t even dream this :sob::sob: we’ll literally likely only getting Starfield and TES6 this generation, even TES6 might be out of the question depending on the generation, but if next-gen is locked 2028, likely TES could come before, or at least cross-gen.

“Yeah Todd, this Oblivion and Fallout 3 remaster is good and everything…but you know what would REALLY sell?” And thats how we got Morrowind and New Vegas remasters too.

Team,

Today, several documents submitted in the court proceedings related to our proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard were unintentionally disclosed. I know this is disappointing, even if many of the documents are well over a year old and our plans have evolved.

I also know we all take the confidentiality of our plans and our partners’ information very seriously. This leak obviously is not us living up to that expectation. We will learn from what happened and be better going forward. We all put incredible amounts of passion and energy into our work, and this is never how we want that hard work to be shared with the community. That said, there’s so much more to be excited about, and when we’re ready, we’ll share the real plans with our players.

In closing, I appreciate all of the work that you pour into Team Xbox to surprise and delight our players. In the days and weeks ahead, let’s stay focused on what we can control: continuing the amazing success of Starfield, the upcoming launch of the incredible and accessible Forza Motorsport, and continuing to build games, services and devices that millions of players can enjoy.

Phil
