I’m fine with that though that article is also predicting $70 games which is highly likely correct.
Some Nintendo games like Mario Wonder or Mario RPG are quite a bit cheaper to just import a JP copy than buying it here lol. That could help a bit for me but it doesn’t apply to every release.
I just hope it will finally do games like Zelda and several other games in general justice, when played on larger screens. Visually especially, I don’t expect big framerate improvements.
Those games are both great - with 2 being an all-time great CRPG. I still remember opening my box of BG2 around launch to find that the game on an almost inconceivable 4 CDs (plus a bonus CD). I couldn’t even imagine at the time how big the game must be.
With that said, those games are not “modern” at all in many ways. The enhanced editions cleaned some things up and improved some things, but they do not change the fundamental nature of the graphics or game play.
So, if you want to play these just keep in mind that the original games are both over 20 years old and the Enhanced Editions are both over 10 years old. The games are still great, just keep your expectations realistic.
Couldn’t agree more; those games, despite not being much of a D&D fan, are seminal in my childhood. Combined with Neverwinter Nights and a few others, there absolutely part of why I love Obsidian (Black Isle), InXile (Interplay), and Bioware as much as I have over the last 20 years.
So something odd happened on my console a few days ago : STALKER 2 just installed itself (pre-order files) on my Xbox even though I uninstalled it last year. I had pre-ordered it for a long time but it was cancelled due to the postponed release date.
So my guess is that the devs are doing something from the backend and it reappeared as if I had pre-ordered it. It may be a sign that pre-orders will be live soon. I’m hoping for a march release. It feels like it’s getting closer now.
Sega localizer. They are gonna have a big payoff. I kinda feel Unicorn Overlord is getting drowned out a bit so hopefully after P3R is out, it starts getting promoted. I’m kinda expecting it to appear on Nintendo Direct with maybe a demo this or next month.
