In the US it was above 6 for a bit and stayed on 6 for even longer. It’s only recently that it dropped to 10 and then down to 14 from what I remember.
It’s currently at 16.

Interesting.
BG3 is at #21 for the most played games in USA, passing The Finals and Avatar who are #27 and #28 respectively. Maybe Xbox fans are into this kind of game?
Interesting indeed… it’s #22 here (Swe). With Avatar at #24 and The Finals at #32.
FYI someone over X did post something about engagement being different from PS5 release and Xbox release, like Xbox has far more likes than PS. I doubt it is any kind of sign, but one would wonder.
I wouldnt say its been 2 years in development. Part of that specific job may have been putting together the pitch. There’s a lot of work with that which does not translate directly into development time counted towards the game.
Alan Wake 2 is so good and took many awards at TGA that it makes people forgot to actually buy and play the game.
They sure love to use SSD power at any mean necessary.
All the riff-raff of the Xbox version and then Xbox and Larian teasing the port until its release made it feel like the Xbox version was marketed better in the end to me lol.

I know they are extremely popular but this studio becoming nothing but a Marvel factory is sad
Given how terrible Sony’s first-party profitability actually is, I think we’re going to be seeing the “reused assets” a hell of a lot more over the next few years.
FTR, reusing assets is common practice but I fear that Insomniac will become just like ND - a single-IP regurgitation factory that does deserve ample criticism, as there’s a major difference in reusing a healthy amount of assets vs literally releasing the same game/environment three+ games in a row.
Xbox has always been a strong platform for western rpg games. You can argue that Xbox is the first console to support western rpg
On the one hand I would actually be more interested in that ( assuming they nail the art direction exactly) than the regular Spidey game , on the other hand shit. Insomniac would seem to be stuck (?) doing licensed games for the foreseeable future.
He says from what he’s played it’s heavy on the boss fights, which shouldn’t be a shock. But that this means that levels mostly consist of just a few normal enemies and within 5 minutes there’s a boss fight. Remains to be seen if the whole game is like that. I hope there are also areas that take longer until there’s another boss, some exploration ala Dark Souls or Elden Ring.
At least the game is real.
Yeah, at one point I remember some of us here were doubting it, I kinda did too. I hope it looks and plays great on XSX, so far we’ve only seen PC.
I don’t think Remedy reports sales data, like how Larian doesn’t.
Edit: but reading that it was 147th most played on Xbox and 113th on PS makes me think that it didn’t do to well.
