I mean…if it werent for the FTC trial we wouldnt know Indy would be Xbox exclusive until maybe E3 next year and then releases 2025. Blade has high chances of releasing till the very end of the gen (heck! even cross-gen with the next xbox) Indy was announced in 2021 and we would know if it was exclusive 4 years later soooo…
I agree, but the fact that you all are talking about that instead of the fact that we’re getting a licensed Marvel third person game (ticking damn near every box we have been asking for) is clown shoes to me. Instead of focusing on the positive we focus on the fraction of a percentage chance that it’s not exclusive.
Thats xbox’s community most amazing power, to drown in a glass of water.
2028 minimum :,v
Seriously, there’s so much that can happen between now and 6 months before the actual release of the game when the marketing cycle begins.
For instance, there’s a chance that Microsoft will acquire SEGA and the next gaming console will be rebranded as SEGA Uranus.
This kills me every single time I see it happening. The hyperfocus on the theoretical potential miniscule neutral position or downside instead of the amazing greatness sucks the life out of all discussions.
While I don’t necessarily think there’s anything inherantly negative about speculating over exclusivity, I do find people focus on negatives way too much in general. Too many announcement discussions are filled with people finding negative stuff to talk about like how sony fans are reacting or how a specific journalist posted the news.
People need to relax and forget about what other people are doing and just enjoy the good times. Xbox had a good night of announcements, they’ve got a Marvel game coming from Arkane - whatever platforms it launches on that all sounds gravy to me.
It’s still early anyway. Best that they don’t give the FTC ammo as they are still pursuing an appeal rn. The reveal will come in due time.
I get it, it’s a really great announcement and ticks the boxes a lot have been asking for. But you really think exclusivity is not gonna be talked about, I think you’re living in timeline where the industry is different. This is what the the industry made it about and reduced to, so of course it’s gonna be speculated and talked about. For me, even regardless of exclusivity, that game is from Xbox and so should have had Xbox association even if it’s not exclusive. That said the game is so early in development it doesn’t matter much as they’ll have many more opportunities to associate it with Xbox later, but it’s just in principle.
Ok let’s see things differently a bit. I see Wario64’s Blade tweet, most of the replies quotes are people excited not much about whether it’s exclusive or not. This could be better for Xbox, if this gets a lot of non-Xbox people’s attentions who are assuming it’s multiplat, then later announce it’s Xbox exclusive… hmm, could definitely turn out better marketing-wise for Xbox ngl.
Its probably naive but it feels like people are more interested in the business of gaming than the games themselves a lot of time.
I almost prefer interacting with real console warriors than people worrying about why the official Xbox account hasn’t tweeted yet. At least they are just talking sh*t for kicks.
Yeah we wont see this game till 2026/2027 so the best thing we should do is
I was wrong tonight. I didnt think xbox would show much but they came prepared. Good for them
Imagine what they will have for their showcase
It’s kind of crazy to think about it. I think it’s safe to say the new CoD will be there at the very least, but the sky is the limit for everything else. What a fun time to be an Xbox gamer or just a gamer in general.
Really sad
People missed FTC latest argument in which they try to relate Zenimax to Activision as opposed to Minecraft, where they said Microsoft will make all things exclusive.
Why give the FTC more ammo for a game that might be 4-5 years away? Let it play out and announce exclusivity in due time, the world will know the game is Xbox exclusive.
oh I didnt think of that. not announcing an exclusive because ftc can use it as ammo. stupid ftc
