but if you want to see the game at its best in full next-gen form then it’s going to be on the machines that have the hardware to enable that."

So a beefy PC. Just say that.

The whole Series S talk is so boring

People know what they are buying, nobody is expecting Series S to perform as well as X, not anyone with any common sense anyway

Series S was made as a way to play next gen games at a cheap price, X was made as a way of playing them best, as long as it’s a somewhat stable performance, nobody outside of dumb console warriors are going to care

Yeah their games are pretty heavy on hardware, I remember Max Payne was a different and worse game on PS2 than Xbox/PC due to how demanding it was.

I get what Remedy is saying. I think it could sum it up with “Extra work is in order.” I think the way they handled before was like that cat meme with two of them blaming on Series S. In other words, pretty poorly. This was before the like of Starfield, Cyberpunk, and now Forza. It can be done; just be ready to be more technical when approaching a new beast.

You seem extra excited. I wonder why…

I want to believe that they know what’s up by now, as in what happens next week. But that probably can’t be the case yet.

Let it fucking be over next week though, puhhhhh-lease. :weary:

I am not sure if I can even say I have it for review yet all of these guys can put up videos? Annoying

Damn, that sucks! That doesn’t seem right and certainly not fair either.

Gotham Knights is at #27 most played in US. Like the game or not, you got to admit how Game Pass truly helps to be aware.

It really does. #28 here (Sweden) too.

Starfield still in the top 5 over a month after release, pretty damn good and cultists hate to see it haha. Only the release of FC24, which is a behemoth here among casuals of course, pushed it out of the top 3.

After having seen some BG3 reviews I know for sure this would be my kind of game 100%, if it weren’t for that combat system. I fear I really won’t be able to get into that. A demo would be ideal.

Pray for Game Pass. lol. I’m still wondering when the first two come. That notification can’t be a mistake, only in timing.

I think It’s something you get used to eventually. Could take like 10 hours or so. Many people played BG3 as their first turn based RPG and did fine and love it.

What’s wrong with the combat system?

I have never been able to get into turn-based combat. I tried it with many games and I just dropped them. Combat doesn’t feel engaging or fun to me that way. I need full control, freedom and be able to attack a fool whenever I want to.

Oh shit, you’re right. I forgot about that.

That’s my hope. And I guess there’s always easy/story mode. Watched a video by Paul Tassi just now and he recommended using that if you really can’t get into the combat. Because everything else is too good to miss out on.

Ah I see. Well, I love turn based combat, it’s like a puzzle in a way.

I can see why you say that, it definitely feels like that. What is the first turn based game you played? It must have been one of the SNES games for me, but I don’t remember the name.

The one I do remember on PS is FF7 and absolutely despised the random encounters, and we did manage to get far because the story was so good, but we never truly enjoyed the combat.

I will always find it a shame that mainline Yakuza is now TB. I get why longtime fans like it, after so many games it feels fresh but not me.

Personally, I like the idea of standalone expansions that are their own SKU. I don’t have to wait 5+ years for the next game in the series, I get a Miles/Lost Legacy (both of which I love with LL being my #1 Uncharted game) experience which I know will be great and adds a great game to my list for the respective year. It’s a win win win for me.
