I tried BOTW on my nephews Wii U and while the physics and some of the mechanics seemed neat, that was about the only positives for me
The world was barren and boring, the combat was straight cheeks and yes, the weapon break system is just awful
Like you, I never grew up with Nintendo but with Sega, PS & PC instead so I have zero attachment to their franchises, first time playing a Nintendo game was 007 on 64 at a friends house which was definitely fun but outside of that I never felt like I was missing out when I had Metal Gear Solid, FF and Crash Bandicoot on my PS1
Ever since the only game I was ever pissed about missing out on from a Nintendo library was the REmake for GC, I just have zero interest or like anything they seem to produce to this day
and I truly feel that if other platforms produced the exact same games they would get slaughtered for the many issues they have but since itās Nintendo or has Zelda/Mario on the cover, they get straight up ignored
I consider Breath of the Wild a 10/10⦠that said I donāt have much excitement over the new Zelda. Iām sure Iāll buy it eventually, but Iād be shocked if it makes my top ten list this year.
Theyāre just playing nice to PC players, they know games not releasing day one on PC means they donāt reach anywhere close to their potential sales, so they are trying to build up hype from the PC player base towards Factions.
When the next big single player game comes, it will again be exclusive to PlayStation. That wonāt go well with the PC crowd, you canāt pretend to be pro PC for multiplayer and go back excluding them for single player. Wonāt go down well when the time comes.
I forgot to mention the hot and cold survival systems. I straight up groaned and rolled my eyes when I went up into a mountain and was alerted I was cold and needed to warm up. Like, this isnāt why I play Zelda games and it seems silly that I need to then go cook some peppers and eat them to survive the cold (Iām guessing thatās what I needed to do cause I straight up stopped playing right there).
If other people like this stuff, great. I just donāt and I honestly canāt see myself paying $70 to have more of it.
Yeah definitely. The original is one of my favourite games of all times and the remake is in many ways an improvement over the original.
Iāve yet to play Resident Evil village, though I will probably pick it up soon. ( I didnāt like RE7 that much outside of the house segment so I didnāt bother with RE8 at release.)
XboxEra has been running not so great for me today. When it seemed back I was typing a long comment and when I pressed submit the site just kept loading and loading and then nothing. The message didnāt get saved either.
Just now it was slow again too and it said threads hadnāt been updated for hours, but now itās working again.
