It’s hard to say, really. We know Sony are actively torpedoing Xbox versions of SE games, but at least some will filter through (KH will, at least, be forced by Disney)
I do also think we might get exceedingly late ports of some stuff down the line. Not everything is Sony moneyhatted and I have no doubt SE wants to hold some for a Game Pass cheque. Nevertheless, with how close the architecture is these days, it’s money on the table and only devalues the IP not to bring it to as many places as possible.
30fps, that’s what I’m going with and honestly, it’s not the end of the world. I played RDR2 in first person a while ago, very doable. Played Redfall in first person, which is in terms of movement faster than RDR2, still doable. Of course i would love to have Starfield with all the graphical bells and whistles in 60fps, but I don’t see that happening.
They might bring a performance mode later, but I don’t think at launch.
It is most likely that they are trying to achieve it in a consistent manner. Thus, he can’t commit right now but hopefully they are able to reach it consistently.
The latest trailer did have framerate flactuate between 30 and 60.
Was talking to one of my friends about the Phil interview and he said he thought he was being too honest, this can’t be good for Xbox. It felt like he was a broken man, ready to leave the place. I get the part about maybe being too honest, but on the other hand it’s something to appreciate a lot!
Broken man, leaving Xbox? Absolutely not. I’m sure he isn’t too happy at the moment, but I can’t blame him. CMA being total dicks with their decision, it sucks.
I don’t know why it feels like a taboo for a man to look defeated/vulnerable and i hate the perception that men have to be tough and for some reason people especially want leaders to be tough when it is okay to be human
With all the stuff going on about Redfall, some serious, others being just overly dramatic about framerate for a game they probably weren’t gonna play anyway, I can see Todd and team trying to make a performance mode. But I don’t think it’s a high priority of them right now. No idea how far along with the game they are, for all we know they are busy on making one as we speak.
I absolutely will go for that mode if the visual sacrifices aren’t too bad. Whatever the case may be, once that game is out…performance mode or not, I am not waiting, lmao.
What I watched today was leadership and accountability. The interview showed he’s listening and he sees the noise on social media. At least we know they see everything, which should result in them turning it around. I didn’t view interview as weakness and more as strength that they have a long term goal and they want to achieve. It’s obvious they can’t compete with Sony and Nintendo today, so they have to build to compete for tomorrow. There’s nothing wrong with admitting that imo
He’s a great dude, but he does follow not so great sources on YouTube such as DreamcastGuy. He sometimes tells me about what he thinks and I’m like dude, who gives a fuck what this clown thinks. Lmao. Those shit ass DCguy takes are rubbing off on him is my guess, haha.
