It looks cool, but I don’t want to get stuck halfway through because I have the rythm of a moose.
It’s not bad even on Normal mode. Even I made it through most of the story already. There’s a metric ton of accessibility options which allow for tailoring your experience too. I only turned on one option around 2 levels ago which keeps the QTE-like challenges to the same input (all X instead of switching between A/X/B/Y) but still requires the proper timing.
I initially followed the challenges for FH, but haven’t bothered with them in forever. They just don’t seem enticing enough, or maybe they’re too annoying to setup. If you click on them they should at least prompt you to load the proper car and set a route to where you need to go.

I took the opportunity with the new Series to do that “finish all events in a Series”-achievement so doing them all, last week now though so that’s nice. Because as you say, they are a little tedious to setup.
I usually only do the ones with rewards I want, but I tried to go for that achievement once before but it bugged out on me, pissed me off and I didn’t play for a long time after that hehe.

I like this a lot till I noticed the birds wings flapping and I can’t look away and it looks goofy lol
The rhythm aspect of the game is almost completely optional. Its bonus damage. Completely beatable without being good at the rhythm part.

I only completed one game from that list which was Hogwarts Legacy. Dropped Atomic Heart. Will get back to Hi Fi Rush tomorrow which is a great game and the rest are of no interest to me.
Cyclone nails it. It’s just extra damage and whatnot. I was playing Rush as a pure DMC style game and barely hit any of the rhythm stuff. You should really give the game a chance Mort.
Why did you dropped Atomic Heart? i have not play it yet. It’s in my backlog after i get through a few more games. Is it that bad? The gameplay looks fun.
Its gameplay is fun. The objectives they have you doing once you get to the open world is not

I don’t normally buy into this crap, and have been been banned for a week for trying to fight against it, but you sometimes just have eat humble pie and also point out what you see.
On the Digital Foundary Direct Weekly podcast, after a good discussion about the upcoming UE5 Immortals game from EA, there was a quick snippet where Richard Leadbetter, someone I’ve been reading for 30 years, said something that just isnt right.
To paraphrase, it was “it’s been a dry year for the big first parties, Microsoft and Sony, specifically Microsoft”.
That’s just not true, especially when held up to Sony who have only delivered DLC for a game everyone forgot about a year ago. MS has dropped two AAA games - HiFi Rish and Minecraft Legends, as well as GoldenEye, Age of Empires II, Ghostwire and are weeks away from Redfall.
This is why the narrative can stick; because it hangs around when it’s simply not true.
And that’s not even counting the huge Day One Gamepass drops.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor preload is up. The game is 44gb on my Series X now. Its weird since I heard the game would be 150gb or something. Maybe those reports were wrong?
