Jez be like: ānah this is just the usual pursuing new experience and allā
also Jez when Staten left the company: āhmm⦠something must be wrong at Xboxā.
What did Nick do to him ? He said he was definetely out of the business in the podcast a few weeks ago, I thought, and now he has something cooking out of nowhere ?
Is it gaming related ? Iām kind of curious.
Heās re-joining Team Green.
My guess is that Lawbreakers is coming to Xbox.
He can honestly stay away from gaming from my point of view. Heās just a less toxic version of Jaffe. Blames everyone else for his misfortune.
I donāt know, his passion always felt genuine to me. People make mistakes and he explained why he made those decisions in the podcast.
Heās a bit intense and weird sometimes, but I think thatās the way he is. Iām not sure what you mean by toxic. Did he do something ?
Cliffy rubs people the wrong way but who gives a shit
Heās made a bunch of top tier IP and thereās plenty of other less talented clowns in the industry that say more stupid stuff than Cliffy
If you mean Cliffy B, no nothing, I should have said non-toxic. Jaffe is constantly jumping on any drama he can find to try and whip people up into a frenzy. Not a big fan of blaming others for your misfortune, especially when youāre in a place of privilege.
Sometimes it feels like we expect game developers to be something more than normal people.
Okay, because heās pretty much the least toxic guy from back then. And I think he took responsability for his mistakes.
Of course, on twitter, heās a bit of a jerk but who isnāt ? Thatās his way to engage people on social media.
If itās about bringing Law Breakers on Game Pass, Iām in. I always wanted to try it. But itās probably something else anyway.
I think the way Cliffy B talks makes people think heās being an asshole, when heās really not. I think he can also come across as a bit defensive, possibly bitter and arrogant, but the dude has earned it over the years and by all accounts he ran his studio properly even in the midst of failure.
He also seems like the type of guy that should ignore social media for his own well being.
I donāt think thatās a right anyone has earned.
Iām very much enjoying it at the moment(about six or seven hours in). The combat is fun and itās got an interesting premise. My only complaints are the performance isnāt there(I notice the frame issues even with my LG G2 VRR display) and there seems to be some control issues
A lot of Jaffe hate here. I can see why when you watch or read his tweets in isolation. Ive been watching him on his channel for years and part of the reason is because i actually met him back in 2006. Guy is a bit misunderstood. His tweets and takes are bad at times but when you hear him talk in length he does give a lot of good reasoning.
I prefer him to shithouses like Dreamcast guy and binch of other creators who have no educaiton to back up their points.
There is no lesser of all evils as a suitable choice. The only choice is to not heed any attention to any of them.
well⦠he was the only āneutralā YTer out there who made a āiām concernedā video when Perfect Dark revealed at TGA (before the whole employees leaving the studio ādramaā). that and him unnecessarily calling out Spencer several times on his twitter and channel. i think the hate is ājustifiedā. other than that i agree that atleast he is less ātoxicā than playsta⦠i mean dreamcasguy.
I love Jaffe because he doesnāt hold back, speaks his mind and is usually correct. Xbox fans hate him as do PlayStation fans which tells me that heās right more times than not simply because most fan bases can never admit the negatives and flaws of their favorites but can easily do so for what is not their favorite.
