Well done them. I’m curious as to how much people’s jobs, and ergo their stability, sense of self, their capacity to flourish, et al, are in that 13%. If it’s less than 99.99%, fuck right off.
This tells me that there is no reason to fold and quit gaming, let alone quit doing what they’re doing that’s working. It has a future and it looks very bright. It would only encourage other publishers to publish their games here. Not to mention when their next ambition plan that is basically a fusion of PC and console begins, with the rise of PC gaming that is outpacing console, who would want to say no to that.
I wish that didn’t go hand in hand with project cancelations and letting so many people go from their studios, but that’s not the business world we live in. 
That’s the ugly side and yeah, that always sucks when remembering that. It doesn’t matter if the rich gets richer, to me at least. What matters is the division will keep people afloat alas keeping their jobs and deliver content for us, knowing how much heart they put in.
Seems they are expecting mid to high single digit drops next quarter, probably due to the crazy quarter they just had in terms of releases across all platforms.
The 22% drop in hardware is still somewhat concerning if they don’t have new hardware planned for the next 2 years. Like I can understand their focus changing but if they keep their console prices higher than the competition (like it is right, probably the main driver of the 22% drop) this will obviously create a vicious circle of people slowly moving away in the upcoming generation for cheaper hardware. Hopefully their new hardware strategy works out for them.
Gamepass does seem to bring in good revenue but hasn’t really exploded I think in the last few years. MS really needs to figure out a way of bringing that Gamepass userbase to much greater numbers, and if it doesn’t happen through consoles, it’s gotta happen on PC or in cloud. Wonder when we will hear about those leaked new Gamepass Cloud Tiers?
