Huh…If the PS5 is $500 bucks I wonder how much cheaper the Digital version will be? I can’t imagine it more than 100 bucks cheaper
Also if this is 299 what if there was a diskless Series X? Imagine at 199$ that fucker would fly off shelves. Could be what MS needs to make up for not having Halo or a big AAA first party game for over a year

I wonder if Sony or MS will let you hook up an external optical drive to these diskless consoles or is there still special authentication firmware built into their drives for disk games.

You’re mistake is thinking people read into things before posting haha, they love to do this and use shit that doesn’t make sense as ammo. Just yesterday saw people bragging about something NVIDIA said about their new GPU and some fanboys took it as a pro for fav console yet it said thanks to MS direct storage we can do this.

What a crazy night. I’m just chilling watching TV, about to go to bed after a 3 day weekend and BOOM EVERYTHING LEAKS! 
Going Series X as planned, but I’m tempted to get a Series S for the living room as a set top box at that price.
Told a couple discord communities I’m in about this and had 4 people say the 299 price instantly makes them consider next gen this holiday now when they were going to wait before. My buddy always said he didn’t need an Xbox due to PC and gamepass but at 299 with gamepass he said he’s in.
Rather have Sega than EA for Game Pass additions.
Wonder if we’re still getting Gold removal…

Series S looks a lot better than Series X imho
All Access is going to be huge.
Next-gen, Xbox Live and over 100 quality games (Gamepass, and add the “strong Gamepass announcement” that Phil teased) starting as low as $25.
With a big marketing push and big ads, it would be very agressive.

If that $299 price is accurate, and the rumors of a controller-free SKU are also true, could we see a $249 Series S option? Or is $349 it’s true price, when a controller is included?
It says estimated retail price on the bottom. If they end at 249 for the SS would be incredible despite @Jez confirming it at 299. They still can lower the price.

Just want to preorder the series x already. Hoping ms make this official this week. I’m in canada so I’m crossing my fingers we don’t get too screwed on the price over here.
