I got the info from a German news site, the source itself is not known to me. But maybe it has something to do with the rumor about the PlayStation 5 event, which is supposed to take place tomorrow. Microsoft apparently wants to steal the show. ^^
Think this is perfect or get the more causal gamer into Xbox over PS. The digital PS5 is going to be nowhere near this price. Power means nothing to a casual gamer all my fired a will go where the cheaper console is and still play the games
Could this be bait for Sony? Sony would then drop PS5 price and be undercutted by around 50 dollars by Xbox.
Smart from MS. They only confirmed the price of the Series S. Then they can wait for the price of the PS5 to announce the price of the Series X.
I personally like both the new xbox designs. I’ll be picking up an S for my kids this Christmas, perfect GP machine

Dieter Rams the GOAT. I studied Industrial Design at college so was exposed to his philosophy and works a lot, so yeah, I definitely see a lot of Braun design language in this haha

It is just a XSX lite. Same features (RDNA 2, VRS, DX12U, XVA, RT etc) all the same and around same specs just tweaked to play at 1080/1440p 60fps.
1080p seems more likely I think, how many 1440p TVs are out there?
I think the specs have been well documented, same CPU, same hard drive, 4TF (compared to 12 on Series X) GPU, 10-12GB RAM (compared to 16 on Series X).
This step is absolutely brilliant. If tomorrow the big PS5 event should really take place, then with the “Leak” to the Series S, a price has now been named that is impossible to undercut. And afterwards one waits for the price of the PS5, in order to possibly undercut it.
