Xbox Series S Launch Lineup Looks Great – Even Without Halo Infinite

The Halo Infinite delay was projected to leave a massive gap in the Xbox Series S and X launch lineup, but Microsoft has it handled.

Halo Infinite delay projected doom for Xbox Series S and X.

The Halo Infinite delay was projected to leave a massive gap in the Xbox Series S and X launch lineup. Due to this, many users were planning to wait or pass on the box altogether. But even with the delay of the console’s top title, Xbox is prepped to provide fans with a substantial launch experience.

Xbox Series S and Series X launch on November 10th. With them comes the following titles:

  • Gears Tactics
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Dirt 5
  • Watch Dogs: Legion
  • Destiny 2: Beyond Light

Both the Xbox Series X and S get Yakuza: Like a Dragon three days early, as well. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War releases on the 13th, then the 19th will see Cyberpunk 2077. While the majority of these titles aren’t first-party, they’re sure a diverse lineup for anyone looking to upgrade. That’s not to mention Game Pass and the inclusion of EA Access, too.

Definitely wasn’t expecting AC Valhalla to release early to match Xbox launch day. I was wondering if the game would be delayed to 2021 or if they would take the risk of being overshadowed by Cyberpunk releasing 2 days later.

I agree that MS handled the lineup better than expected after Halo delay. They have many big games to promote now (including Cyberpunk) and their launch day is definitely not empty.

Is The Medium confirmed to be on November 10 by the way ? I didn’t see anything on their Twitter. I think it would be better for the game to release in December. November is so crowded.

The Medium is a confirmed XSX launch title. So is Falconeer. 12 Minutes likely is too (it is confirmed 2020).
