Xbox Series Pro: Is It Coming?

Saw a comment that maybe the reason Xbox Series X is hard to find (is it though?) is because MS is already busy on the mid gen refresh model. But so far we’ve had rumors from a good source about Sony but zero about Xbox. I do hope they are looking into it though. Who knows how much upcoming big games from XGS could benefit from it.

There is no extra cost to using the latest architecture. You’re paying for the silicon. The IP cost is minimal.

Rdna3 / 4 will have improved RT perf for free and AMD xdna. No way MS nor Sony will skip that.

IP cost was not part of my analysis Neither I was against any of it.

Xbox one X was the biggest gpu of it’s architecture line up. Even AMDs offering was just 36 CU

So it is quite possible that X pro may have 104 CUs and be the biggest GPU of it’s architecture class

Apperently, PS4 pro was same AMD high end 36 CU GPU. So at max I would bet 72 or 80 CU upgrade for PS5 pro. 72 makes sense because butterfly effect of exact 2.

Now only if they could double CPU and vram as well🤔

I will have my high end console.
