Xbox Projects and Timelines Thread | Official and Rumored List (65 and MORE TBD)

For time of development discussion
4-5-6 years is the most common thing

There are games take 3 years
Like Gears 4-5 and there’s another examples like guardians of galaxy? and Shadow of Mordor /war etc

There are Games take 4 years And there are 5 And these the most common thing

And there are 6 and 7
That’s not a constant thing , it’s variable
It depends on the team and the game and challenges and a lot of things Sometimes you can’t say this game took x year because They exchange ideas not more than that
Horizon took 7 year?
But Karots reboot took 5 years
ghost of tsushima took 6 years or less ( cause the canned project) and it was new ip too.
not every game will take 3 years and not every game take 7 years.
Another thing covid-19 is a big thing.

Elder Scrolls and Indy are waaaaay in the future mate.

Guess you’ll just have to wait and see to prove Peter wrong.

5 years for AAA is great IMO.

We just need new studios, bigger AAA deals for gamepass and Japanese games in between launches.

Not a case of proving anyone wrong, everyone sees it differently and i respect that.

Its more, those games are really early, and for me i always say later then sooner

Any prediction of where Indiana Jones falls is based entirely on a guess of how far along it was when announced.

Elder Scrolls is 2025 at best, 2026 most likely.

That’s why I put 2024/future as a few of those games are much further out. TES VI is probably 2028 or so. Indiana Jones I see being no later than Holiday 2025.

6 years past Starfield?

New studios should be coming at some point so more games could fill in similarly to how Bethesda did

Fallout 4 was November 2015 and Starfield is November 2022 so would 6 years later for TES VI be much of a surprise?

yeah i can see that in 2027/2028 Bethesda bringing new tech to TES and they will probably use photogrammetry for actors and areas. it’s TES let them take all the time they need

TES6 should at least be in pre production now, ideally going into full production once Starfield releases.

It would for me, considering when it was announced and the fact that all of those engine upgrades were done with Starfield.

You are forgetting the release of Fallout 76 in 2018.

ES6 will be 2025/26

Indiana will be 24/25

That would put the total sunken cost to make Elder Scrolls VI somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-700 million.

LOL, what math are you doing

We’ll see but if TES 6 enters full production in early 2023, I can see Holiday 2027 at best. I’m not expecting TES 6 anytime soon plus Howard will be overseeing Indiana Jones and will probably have expansions planned for Starfield so I just think it’s further out than well, all the other thus far announced games under Microsoft/Bethesda.

I don’t count Fallout 76 because it wasn’t what Howard even wanted to do and was a cash grab by ZeniMax. Did Howard even have anything to do with that game? If not, then it’s 7 years between Fallout 4 and Starfield.

The literal only reason there is a gap this big between Bethesda releases is the engine revamp. I expect TES6 way closer than some of yall think lol.

I think Howard’s role on Indiana Jones is minor, not much beyond checking in on it regularly and offering feedback.
