I think they should try bolder moves over there, like when they moneyhatted Capcom, Bandai Namco and Square Enix games during 7th gen. They have a shot with SEGA, not much with the others honestly, if even Bamco, “friends” with Phil (a direct quote coming directly from him), severed all its ties with Tales and Elden Ring.
I think they have a chance with Capcom still, they love money.

Hmm, IDK, they gave away RE8 marketing to Sony for literally nothing, blog posts and store prominence, lol. I’d reckon it would have cost much more for MS. To get an exclusive from them MS would have to fund completely the game, but does it make sense when you don’t even own the ip and they can easily double cross you a year later (the reason why MS never bothered again with moneyhats in Japan after 7th gen)? Parity of releases is the best MS can have from japanese publishers, outside strategic alliances/acquisitions obviously.
Anyway, yeah, even if I’m no Souls fan, I admit an exclusive one by from software could skyrocket Xbox prominence in key areas where they are weak. I’m sure Phil&co know it, but apparently it’s not possible.

Not to mention recent Sony’s hire was literally Capcom’s CEO no? Their ties with japanese companies are very strong. I would not be surprised that just like usual one or two execs or directors there prefer Playstation and Sony thus Xbox is ignored.

Yeah, it’s well known Yakuza arrived on Xbox after Phil literally paid for the ports and a key SEGA executive stepped down. I think similar issues are the real reasons behind FF, Persona, etc…not bullshits like Gold, content delivery, manpower, etc…
There is only one answer here, I think. Kurt Vonnegut’s books is one of the inspirations behind the game.

Remember all those rumours about another studio / compulsion working on the multiplayer portion of PD?
Anyway, we can say all sort of things, but this list is extremely scarce regarding to japanese games, there’s only the Kojima one, which is only a rumour for now.

It could be inspired by him, or it could be an actual adaption of one of his books. Which would be weird as hell, but so is a Wu-Tang Clan game!

Yeah, I wasn’t complaining about the overall output, on the contrary I’m very excited, but this japanese issue contines to be real.
Josh Sawyer is very active on twitter, I wanna know what he thinks of his game leaking like this lol
