It’s true mind some people live and breathe their football club it’s such a massive part of their life I see people devoting so much of their life to brands like Star Wars Ect
On BBC News I saw a grown man crying because he couldn’t get Oasis tickets. Sure I could make fun of him I suppose and say he needs to get a life even though his wife and children were also in the interview and I believe he was a full-time school teacher, but I get it.
I was much the same for SEGA; when you get emotionally attached to something sense goes out the window be it for Xbox, Nintendo, Star Wars, England football Ect, etc.
Klobrlle gets emotional and yet Phil Spensor and Aaron Greenberg call him a legend after his outburst over Tangoworks I no longer follow him anyways.
We can all make fun of and be condescending about fanboys but where drawn the line?. I suspect you find it childish when you see grown men wearing an Xbox top or a Halo jumper?
There are people who think that playing video games is something for kids and teenagers not grown adults or man-children if you will.
People do get emotionally attached to lots of things. I saw a massive outpouring of grief when George Michael died with people shaking and crying like their own family member had died.
I’m not a fan of people looking to belittle people’s love emotion and passion for a band or product.
I was speaking more that you don’t own gamepass games, so there’s less attachment to digital library. It makes it easier for a person to switch if they’re just using gamepass and playing some live service games.
I enjoy gamepass because it allows me try games I most likely would’ve skipped or wait for deep discount
I don’t think Game pass on every screen is what will make the difference, it’s called Xbox everywhere not Game pass everywhere. I do think you’re attaching way too much emotions to this and that can’t be good. I have said this is a business at the end and the market will iron things out. Just relax.
I don’t think Game Pass is a bridge to your library. It’s a value service with lots of incentives that boost gaming. I think what Xbox is beginning to do and work on is getting the full Xbox ecosystem on cloud which would then bring Xbox everywhere. If they can get the cloud up to par and bring the full Xbox ecosystem to every device then they would have a winner as you should be able to access Xbox everywhere you can access other streaming tv.
Yeah, it’s why I feel it’s easier for somebody to leave the xbox console if they’re mainly playing on gamepass because no attachment to library.
I wish xcloud was actually good because in my area the service is the worst out of all of the cloud services I’ve used. I am not sure what methods they’re using, but it’s a worse experience than Stadia, GeForce Now, and even Playstation cloud. I think they’re far away from making cloud a viable platform to bring library over.
Well said but cloud is just a portal. Looking at it now many people are sore because the console is at this moment the only place you can get the full Xbox experience. The Xbox app is very limited in games especially third-party ones. I play on Steam every now and then but would play on the Xbox app if it had the games or my library. I think the multiplat will be a non-factor if they can successfully make get the full Xbox ecosystem everywhere including making the cloud responsive enough.
I am no tech wizard, but it would be amazing if they can bring our library to the xbox app and cloud. I have no clue how that would work if that’s done through emulation, but that would the best of both worlds to have library work on multiple devices
Want loads of games from some of the best devs in the industry?
Yes => Want them at a low cost? => Yes => GamePass.
Want to pay $70 for each of these games? => Get a PS5.
If anything going full multi platform will likely help Xbox & PC players as regulators may allow them to acquire more publishers and put them into GamePass day one too.
Same here. I loved Stadia. GeForce Now is great, though a bit wonky for older titles. PlayStation streaming has been flawless. Xbox is the only one I’ve had some serious picture quality issues with. (Although it varies wildly.)
That said, it looks like they’re finally upgrading the service. Heck, maybe they’ll even get out of beta one of these days!
Yeah, I was shocked how much better the other cloud services are. Especially, Playstation since the rolled out theirs later. Hopefully, this pushes Microsoft to improve the experience to make it up to par. Ideally I would want it to be as good as Geforce now, but I doubt that could happen anytime soon
You may be right but I don’t see people who haven’t any interest in console/PC-style gaming doing just that because it’s on the phone when they much use Tik Tok and mess around on simple mobile phone games
I was impressed with Stadia playing it down at a friend’s house. It showed how it could be done and what the promise of cloud gaming could do… getting straight into games with no fuss, installs, updates and top-quality graphics
Xbox Cloud just takes far too long to get into any single game and the picture quality is not good enough.
I see the move to digital for games and there’s an ever bigger group of people who rather that way for games. I see more people not so bothered about exclusives and that growing
I don’t see any call from gamers to move to Cloud style gaming from SONY, Xbox or Nvidia
Xbox is not Game Pass this is a notion that many just don’t get. Game Pass is a service and a good add on, but it isn’t representative of the full Xbox experience.
Many want their library that carries their history, Game Pass doesn’t do that. Xbox console has sold around 30 million. Game Pass on Windows and other devices has not brought in the console number. I think the idea is the full Xbox experience is what sells, and many are attracted to and yes that includes Game Pass. I think if they can bring the full Xbox ecosystem to cloud, they would see their account numbers spike as well as subscriber count spiking.
