I don’t think that it has any exclusivity whatsoever and none of the previous games had any Sony exclusivity and was never shown at any of Sony’s shows. It was always an Atlus decision but with Microsoft and Sega being “close”, I would like to think that they worked out a deal to guarantee that Xbox gets Persona 6 day one.

Yeah, I know about Persona not actually being moneyhatted before and it was just Atlus being Atlus but with P5 being such a big hit and Sony going next level with the moneyhats for this gen, I just won’t be surprised if P6 launches as a timed exclusive for Sony
If they did sign a deal years ago then there’s not much xbox and likely pc/nintendo too can do but wait
I do think it’d be idiotic to start to build a base for these games on Xbox only to not release the latest game though. So we’ll see. I suppose Xbox would take what they can get.

I don’t know if Fable will be there, but if it is I’m actually excited about how it’s shown off. For me, PG’s Forza Horizon 4 & 5 reveals were pretty epic.
Forza Horizon 5’s approach where they showed off landscape that looked like a photograph followed by cars roaring by and then the camera chasing the player’s vehicle was so fresh and unique in contrast to other racing games. I could tell it influenced how Forza Motorsport was revealed. The focus on realtime gameplay is something I appreciate.
With that in mind, I hope to see the same level of creativity applied to how Fable is revealed. Actual gameplay, showing off the world (not just the visuals but the systems), and showing off a more horizontal slice of the game than you’d expect. Most games show off a vertical slice but the Horizon demos showed off the variety in cars, racing, biomes, and gameplay.

Besides P3 Remake and SMT ports and stuff, I wonder if Persona 5 Strikers will ever be due for Xbox?
I started playing the game last year on PC but stopped after the Persona Xbox ports were announced. I did also find the gameplay to be not that good though.
There’s the dancing games too, but those haven’t even come to Switch and I think they were sales disappointments. Probably left behind for good.
Well that happened with Final Fantasy right? But yeah SE makes a lot of idiotic decisions.

Why not? The two teams are separate and not even located in the same building. If developments are well managed (and Playground has a reputation for being very well managed), each team will stay on its game.
It’s true that the DLC took longer to come out on FH5 than on the other episodes… But I doubt very much that the whole studio is working on these extensions. Production on FH6 has certainly been going on since the release of FH5, with full production starting in April.
I’m still optimistic for 2024… we’ll know in one year!

I think Fable comes out in Fall 2024 and I don’t think it’s possible for them to launch at the same time. The two teams will probably help each other out when needed, and I really do think Horizon 6 should take longer for the first next gen only game and the first game on the new engine.
Plus, Xbox doesn’t need Horizon 6 in 2024. Motorsport will still be going strong and they will have a host of other games. They can afford to give them more time.
I agree with that. But I don’t think Fable will be released before 2025, in the spring at the earliest.
FH6 in 2024 and Fable in 2025… or the other way round. I’m happy with either scenario! 
I could see Spring 2025 for Fable and Fall 2025 for Horizon 6.

Good point on the shooting. Hopefully the hit reactions are all consistent now, because last year it was a mixed bag. The shooting itself looked good to me though.

I want to get to the indie perspective of the XBOX Games Showcase. I think games like Party Animals, Lies of P and Cocoon will be at the showcase - especially Party Animals with maybe the trailer narrator will say “where’s the bleeping release date” and then shows off the actual release date. I have also a indie wildcard I have in my hand, I think Bokeh Game Studio’s Slitterhead will be at the showcase. Maybe that won’t happen.
