I’m always in awe of the graphics when they show Flight Sim.
I’m curious to see how Fable controls in combat. There’s a flip ton of really unique cinematic animations between the last 2 showings. Are we seeing finishers here or is it a “curated” experience type deal.
The show had highs and lows for me. I think I would give it a B overall.
Dragon Age, Starfield, Diablo, Assassin’s Creed = Great stuff! Shattered Space was my favorite overall, that was incredibly hype. And I actually enjoyed the Dragon Age trailer which most people seem not to have liked.
Gears - Mixed, I love what this is but I think I still would have rather had a Kait/Marcus sequel to the Gears 5 story.
Avowed - Liked it, but it seemed like just more of what we’ve already seen
Perfect Dark - I didn’t connect with this, spy/imsim game is just not my thing I guess. I would have preferred more of a “normal” FPS.
Fable - This trailer just didn’t do it for me. I still feel like they’ve yet to show us what the game really is and what it’s like to play. This really just showcased more of the game’s atmosphere and sense of humor, which is fine, but we’ve already seen that and I wanted something that went deeper into what the gameplay actually is.
Life is Strange direct sequel with Max but no Chloe? - I don’t know man. I don’t know how to feel about this.
I don’t know. I liked a lot of trailers in the show, but there was also a lot that felt like filler, or trailers that left me nonplussed or feeling like the game isn’t for me.
The compulsion game looks super cool. Combat looks pretty weak but outside of that, it all looked unique.
One of the best videogame shows I’ve ever seen, by far.
Diverse and imaginative array of games on display.
Fable looks great visually but gameplay it’s still on the light side. Meaning they still didn’t show much of that. It’s a bit surprising we saw a whole lot more gameplay of PD, a game with no date compared to a game with a 2025 release window.
I loved the show but one issue, I guess I had were all these release windows or none at all. PD and Gears didn’t have release years. Maybe they just didn’t want to slap 2026 on it, assuming they are.
I am now wondering if we will get something ‘soon’ or in a few months.
I’m really surprised we didn’t get any of ABK’s back catalogue on GP today.
Perhaps Phil could drop something else in the IGN interview?
Wasn’t all that interested in Perfect Dark before but now it’s right up there for most anticipated game.
No racing games makes me sad. Not even a “Here’s some upcoming DLC coming to Forza Motorsport” sizzle reel.
Making perfect dark an imsim is absolutely inspired

Geoff getting fact checked.
Fable will play like a modernised Fable. You heard it here first.
That was the best showcase of “Not E3” season and it wasn’t close. Fable looked great and if I had to guess it’s getting the direct immediately following the showcase treatment next year. Perfect Dark surprised me, I was a little worried but that looked great. Doom and State of Decay 3 I’m all in on. I also love that they went with Gears of War E-Day instead of 6, I’ve seen some people going back and forth with that online but E-Day has me more excited than 6 ever could’ve gotten me (and I really enjoyed 4 and 5)
Meaning?
I mean, is it open world or similar to how the game world in Fable games looked and felt? Will combat be similar to it? Which parts will be cinematic, which parts are fully real-time?
That being said, glad we saw it at all because I was keeping into account it could have been a no show.
I had to watch it on my phone while working but I very much enjoyed what I saw. Pre show the games I wanted to see most Doom, SOD 3 and Perfect Dark all ended up impressing me. I would say the only remotely downside was not much from Japan(especially more from Square after the insiders teased stuff) which is a surprise given how much we’ve seen from Japanese studios in recent years but aside from that I thought it was a brilliant show.
Speaking of Japan what on earth were those rumours about Blue Dragon from insiders? Granted it may still happen at TGS but it shows the downside to these insider’s hinting and teasing stuff. Sometimes it’s best to just let things play out instead of trying to gain clout or whatever reason they do it for
The crazy part is the one source who said something similar got it perfect with SoP leak, so they thought it will happen. I guess Xbox went in like
That’s what I’m expecting too. I don’t know why they’d stray from that.

I laughed at the last one.
I’m embarrassed with how long it took me to figure out the fridge
