Cannot wait to see what kind of unique worlds Starfield await us.
Found where all the marketing budget for Xbox went! Just kidding but that’s a nice looking building let’s hope it’s filled to the brim of cool marketing people
The future keeps getting brighter.
Damn … I love this
And it’s practically fortnite
Give this to me now
Same
I’m expecting more info about the game starting to leak relatively soon.
It’s been many, many years that I played Skyrim for hours on end and so I forgot about several things that made/make it so brilliant. But this guy describes it perfectly. He makes some really good points about both the pros and cons.
His sense of humor is quite something, lol, personally I find the dude funny as hell. But it’s a real nice video and now has me even more excited for Starfield because all the pros he mentioned are undoubtedly going to be in there and very likely way improved too. And I expect that some cons will have been looked at too. Although some only really apply to TES, we know yet so little about Starfield, which I love.
Oh, I remember Ranton. Remember him stopping making videos year ago or something. Some reviews were crazy though.
It might be an act or he really has ADHD, not entirely sure about that. But most of his content I found highly enjoyable. His humor is not always for everyone, that’s for sure, haha. He still makes videos for his other channel and those are clips from Twitch upped to YouTube.
Thoughts?
Another game to the list of Microsoft games?
Count me excited at any attempts at innovation and trying new things. Some things will only be possible leveraging the storage and CPU processing of the cloud. I expect at some point this generation there will be a new popular game that will do game design things that you can’t do on local machines.
Now they just have to find people to work there! (jk)
But the important thing… Will it require an internet connection? That is apparently a deal breaker for many, lol.
Could also easily be one of the rumored and leaked ones
Was there a good game other than Kojima rumored?
all mainline halo games look good in third person, wanna guess why?
I know…and unfortunately I expect some controversy when the game is revealed. Then I’ll remind people Microsoft is publishing more single player games than at any point in their existence and to chill if something isn’t for them.
I personally don’t believe we’ll achieve massive leaps in game worlds until cloud can be leveraged at least partly. Was told by a dev that even with these nice CPU bumps, if you want to do something truly innovative with AI or immersive open worlds, some cloud compute will be required.
Cloud-native definitely implies always-online. Always-online already exist anyway, developers and publishers aren’t gonna back out from their ideas and tech implementations just because some people can’t be always online, or worse some people who don’t think there should ever be always-online games even if it’s literally the idea and design of the game.
That “controversy” should be kept to games that don’t don’t need to be always-online for any reason whatsoever but still are, like GT7 for example.
I would personally count Flight Sim as a “cloud native” game (since all the world map data comes from the cloud), but you can technically play it offline. It’s just a dramatically worse experience.
Grubb talked about a cloud MMO that Mainframe was working on, but I can’t remember if he said the deal with Xbox fell through or not. And then there’s Kojima’s cloud project which we know about already.
The more I think about it the more I don’t believe Starfield won’t be a big reveal at the Xbox show.
They absolutely want a “showstopper” at their Show, a game that people will talk about afterwards, a real highlight. Last year that game was FH5.
They can have gameplay of Avowed, Contraband and who knows what else, but there’s no way that their number one big exclusive this year won’t be featured in a big way at their show. That is, if the Xbox show is separate from Bethesda, but that’s certainly very possible.
