But it’s boring
Are you saying it’s boring or being facetious lol
Did he work on the 2013 KI?
The former BGS dude said it’s boring, at first at least.
Anyway, manual flight was always a yes to me, but even “confirmed” we still won’t have something close to concrete on how it’s gonna operate before it’s shown.
I’m sure there’s some autopilot feature as well…
I am really confused at the disbelief or shock/confusion that this game would have space flight. I never really had any doubts it would be there, and we see tons of games have it so I don’t know what the worry is.
I think the argument was that the creative engine would need such a significant revamp to allow flyable ships and obviously vehicles…
People doubted it.
My own thinking is that between planets and systems it’s gonna be autopiloted and skipable (because really, if they want to be “grounded” and theoretical then space travel takes a long ass time), and we’re gonna fly manually inside individual planets.
However, maybe they aren’t being that groudned and will take the liberty to gamify it.
I think it’s just because BGS games havn’t had anything like it before
It’s a pretty big change compared to ES and FO
I mean according to insiders it’s “terrible” so…
Seriously though, if it works well I have no objections. My previous thoughts on the matter was about how it wasn’t a requirement for an RPG set in space but we have done that dance. It’ll be fine I’m sure!
I mean they spent years saying they are revamping the engine… why would they do that if not for something ambitious?
They had flying dragons in Skyrim on the 360. And they did overhaul the engine for Starfield.
Bethesda Game Studios games are all about being able to go where you want whenever you want. I am expecting this game to basically have no loading screens at all and you have full control of where you fly to.
The part where Todd says that the technology that allows Starfield finally eixsts and that it’s the right time for the universe to exist. I think the expanded mmeory and the storage speeds will allow them to finally have multiple huge detailed planets, travel between them seamlessly, the processing power to help with more simulation and AI asepcts as well.
Yeah, don’t get me wrong I’m not the one who said there wouldn’t be flyable ships…
I always believed there would be otherwise it would be significant missed opportunity for a grand space RPG.
Hevys account got nuked apparently.
Also Nate said the quake reboot is also not true
…yet
The dude broke a contract and did it stupidly too but I hope there’s a way Bethesda let it slide, would never wish someone basically losing their career over something like this
Anyone know anything about project Guardian?
Nvm its tes 6
I wouldn’t let it slide because I feel like there was some malice involved in leaking the info.
