Most people have no reference to an InXile game especially a first person RPG
Hellblade 2 release date?
I mean Hellblade 2 was announced at TGA & Gameplay was Shown at another TGA also. It’s only fitting that Hellblade 2 release date get announce at this year TGA.
I can see hellblade release window along with perfect dark gameplay and Xbox wins another game awards show
After the recent news I have no faith in 343 or even the future of Halo, I think even the BR will be DoA. As awesome as forge looks I don’t think it’s going to be the savior everyone thinks it will be. I’d love to be wrong but it’s been nothing but disappointment since launch with Infinite.
Avowed is possible too. Maybe the fact that we’ve seen Hellblade at two TGAs already means we WON’T see it this time and they’ll save it for X0 (if it happens) or the next showcase.
I still think it’s Fall 2023 regardless.
I’m excited for it!
Halo was the fall guy, Xbox management should be getting as much stick as 343. No way that game was ready to release.
Also with how much they spent on it, and how many revisions they did, management should have stepped in.
I want to get excited for it, especially when I think about the few things Sponger said about it. InXile having the biggest budget of all XGS, lots of cool features that he mentioned, Steampunk etc.
But he does not have a track record and we have no idea if his information on Avowed was even legit. So I’m just gonna wait and see, not get overly hyped about rumored things. Hopefully inXile won’t wait an eternity with spilling some beans on what exactly it is, something, anything. Artwork, is the setting indeed steampunk etc.
Once that happens real excitement can start.
Wasn’t some of Sponger’s information later corroborated by Jez and LinkedIn posts? I can’t remember the details but I’m pretty sure that was the case.
Obviously the late 2022 release didn’t happen but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t planned when Sponger posted that leak.
Why would you write an article about Roblox when most of its users can’t read yet?
Roblox has also been involved in lots of controversies about taking advantage of children, monetisation and the sort of content that ends up there (i.e. inappropriate or illegal stuff). I imagine Xbox is happy to let them on the platform for financial reasons but wants to distance themselves in case any PR disaster really blows up, then it’s easier for them to deal with.

Oh I’m not sure about that to be honest. But that would be very nice because it sounded really damn promising. Their games like Wasteland just are not for me, solely because of the combat. Gave it a try but it just didn’t work for me. I have no problem with the camera viewpoint. But a FPS RPG by them? Oh bring it on.

Sorry, just to clarify, I think some of Sponger’s information about Avowed was corroborated, not necessarily Cobalt (although I think we knew it was first-person and steampunk prior to Jez’s article).

Ah, got ya.
So now remains the question if that info was before the “reboot” that Jason spoke about or after. That big list of features and what Avowed was about sounding incredible. Hope most of that is actually happening.

I think it was before the supposed reboot because it was shortly after the game was announced. But we also don’t really know to what extent the game was rebooted. I doubt they threw away the entire world map and they will have already built features I’m sure. We’ll just have to see.
I definitely think inXile and Compulsion are due up next in terms of games to be announced.
Someone on Reddit noticed this. The dirt on the window. Attention to detail. Wonder if that is real-time build up or if its always there.

I bet someone will make some mode with real time features like this.

Hopefully for console too, PC always has the most amazing mods but console misses out on some big stuff sadly. The other day I saw there’s a mod that overhauls the combat in Skyrim, but I did not see it for console.
But who knows, maybe it is real-time in Starfield already. Like Geralt’s hair in Witcher 3. I love such stuff.
Maybe Fable can finally have a actual growing tree in real-time. Take that Molyneux

And there is a reason for that. On PC a lot of mods are basically something akin hacks, various DLL injections and other stuff which is not allowed on consoles.
