This is wholesome as
I think we can have a general idea about its premise and themes, and even some of possible general mechanics (management, survival, god-game)
My theory:
It could be about preserving nature through management of ecosystems. Each server could be a world/Earth, with communities contributing to the wellbeing of the entire world/Earth’s health, nature, climate, etc. through managing their own smaller ecosystems.
I can’t wait to get stuck into Grounded in September. I really do think it’s going to blow up when it leaves early access.
I’m not sure if ever seen the first two pictures. But they probably aren’t new, are they?
I just can’t get excited at all about this though. Who even knows how far off it is, it clearly was announced waaaaaay too early too and who knows what it’ll even turn out to be. Curious I am though, but that’s bout it.
Neither can Rare!
That would be an interesting concept for the game. I was thinking earlier that it would be closer to a Pokémon style game where you can train and battle against other creatures in an open world survival game with your character (an eternal) having some sort of magical elements to it. But having the game be where you preserve nature through managing your ecosystems does sound really interesting as well and would work better with being co-op/multiplayer.
I think Everwild probably doesn’t have combat
Maybe not traditional combat but maybe your creatures could fight for you and you can level them up similar to Pokémon.
Idk why but i just have a feeling this game is going to be very calm and i would be surprised if there is any violence.
I have a strong feeling based on the Everwild trailers that the game is going to be an incredibly peaceful game that is about connecting with nature. That is probably why they have had trouble with the game because its hard to make a gameplay loop out of that concept.
I am not sure if trailers can serve as any representative for the game though…If there is a game out there
While I agree that having the game be peaceful and connecting with nature will be the main drive and focus of the game I can’t imagine there isn’t some sort of nontraditional combat element to the game. Because if there is no combat whatsoever I could see the game getting boring very quickly.
Also the game reportedly did get rebooted so the game could be entirely different the next time we see it.
There is a game because they are rapidly hiring for it
I can’t remember where I read it, but I saw that the game was initially going to have no combat but after the director change there was a reboot and now it’s more Pokemon like.
But please take this with a grain of salt, I can’t even remember where I read this.
