This studio doesn’t get much attention compared to the others. And although I think they should, it’ll be good to see people surprised by a game off their radars.

Id be disappointed if they dont tbh
It’s something that so many modern rpg’s dont seem to even want to try and make the games as shallow as possible
I want them to go full hardcore rpg where everything you do actually matters
I know that I will make enemies for what I will say but here I go. Please excuse me if I make any mistakes because English is not my native language. I am also aware that I am saying this as someone who has never played Banjo 1 and 2 but has played Nuts and Bolts (and loved it), which is an unusual case, I think:
Do you think a Banjo would make sense today? It is a collectathon game and therefore an outdated type of game. I don’t know why I think that if they innovated with some of the gameplay there would be a big risk that the long-time fans would feel betrayed and believe that the game is not good because it’s not what they expected. On the other hand, I am sure that children and young people would enjoy it, because in the end the game would be aimed at them and not at people of 30 or 40 years of age like us.
What do you think? It’s Banjo 3 only a game demanded because it’s a prestigious IP or because people (AKA people who grown with these games) genuinely wants to play it?

Look at Crash, a brand new one was made and it turned out quite well. The Ratchet remake and the latest one was received very well too.
After having played the Spyro trilogy I definitely want more games like these. I definitely believe a new BK can work. But they do need to make sure they bring funny and charming characters. Perhaps a BK remake first is better, test the waters.

I forgot to mention that I also played Yooka & Laylee and it bored me a bit and if I’m not mistaken it’s a 1:1 to the first two Banjo. Hence my doubts. I liked Ratchet & Clank and Crash 4 but I’m not sure if that’s because I knew these two IPs (and maybe because nostalgia, too) or because they are more oriented to the action and a more lineal platforming respectevily.
But if I’m honest, I also had these doubts when Crash 4 was announced and then I liked it 
I think Ratchet (and Psychonauts) offer something much more interesting than jumping on heads. I’m not trying to jump on heads in 2022+
As someone who has little to no interest in a new Banjo, I do think there is a market for it beyond just the usual Nintendo ones that sell gangbusters
I do think the whole collectathon type gameplay has grown very stale at this point and if they were to do a new one they should try and innovate or at least give it a real challenge
I dont think that would alienate people, as long as it stays focused on being a platformer above everything else I think people would be fine
Really the smart thing to do would be what Activision did, make a full blown remake of the original and see how it does, there’s less chance to mess that up and it will show if there really is an audience for a new one

Agreed. I need combat (melee and/or shooting) in “platforming” games. I can’t play those straight forward platformers anymore. Just too slow and boring.

Most open world games are collectathons in a sense. In Assassin’s Creed IV you’re literally jumping around collecting 
s. Games like Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, Batman, Crackdown have tons of stuff to collect

Wasnt biggest fan. But is give it another go 4k 60fps
One thing is for sure, nothing seems to be leaking so far and I recall this being a different story in previous years.
Now it’s possible that the show is predictable, since we know about many games now and that’s not a bad thing at all, but even those games being present or not is not getting leaked. Nice. And I’m sure there will be surprises.
Rand, who was mostly right about was gonna be on the previous shows (predictions-wise, not leaks), is saying the upcoming show is the most unpredictable one in many years… It might seem there’s things that are easy and safe bets (Starfield, Redfall, Avowed, and Forza) what else in the show might be up in the air

Or plot twist, the show hasn’t been leaked because there’s nothing for first party. But seriously, I suppose the promotion to be its own division acquired a solution to leaks.

Nothing from first party except Starfield and Redfall, yeah that would be something. But thankfully there’s no way that’s the case.
I also wonder if there’s one or two XGS things during Geoff’s show.
Good point actually. Jez said that the reason there were many Xbox leaks was because there were many MS leaks in general due to how big and integrated the company is. Maybe Xbox operating as their own division does help them control their level of integration.

Even if it were to leak I appreciate that this place has made a thread for leaks. Even though I did make the mistake of visiting it yesterday cause I thought it was the regular show thread, lol.
Name Leaks really don’t bother me because I am expecting a lot here already…
Just hope any gameplay footage doesn’t leak…
