Neither game is what I was hoping for from Arkane/Tango and I have zero interest in playing either so future content or a sequel isn’t going to change that so I prefer them to move on. At least with a new IP, it has a 50/50 chance in being of interest to me where as Deathloop and Ghostwire never will.

It’s crazy to me that Pillars of Eternity is 7 years old today. I realize that they are in the big leagues now, but I hope that one of Obsidian’s teams would like to eventually make another traditional CRPG.

Yeah, I really hope that the success of Avowed (fingers crossed for this game to become a huge hit) makes people play Pillars of Eternity to know more about the world of Eora and, eventually, Obsidian develops another Pillars of Eternity game. The only problem is Josh Sawyer. He said that he was burned out of the series after the second game because of it’s weird great reception with critics but very very poor sales.

If they never work again on Pillars of Eternity (and continues only working on Avowed as a new franchise/spiritual successor to PoE), at least I hope they still make more isometric CRPGs with that type of combat. I love real time with pause.

It’s because most gamers don’t have any clue about game development, engines or otherwise. There are some significant deficiencies that exist in Unreal (yes, even UE5) so while it’s great middleware, proprietary engines must exist for some teams because they suit their vision better than Unreal or Unity; in the simplest distillation of the matter.

I know this probably won’t happen but it would be cool to see a third person Age Of Empires game. It could be like Microsoft’s version of Assassin’s Creed but with actual historical accuracy.

Currently 4 hours into Ghostwire Tokyo

A ton of stuff in it is interesting except for arguably the most important detail in a game, the gameplay loop. It just feels so unfinished but hopefully it picks up in the 2nd half of the game.

I’d be down with that, but I guess that would feel somewhat similar to Assassin’s Creed series. However, I am always down to touch on eras that aren’t often depicted

I don’t think it would be similar other than maybe how they did the world building of historical cities such as Paris with how they designed Notre Dame. Since Assassins Creed isn’t even really based on historically accurate stories.

But I just think it would be cool to have a campaign based off of Age of Empires where you play as an Egyptian Pharaoh or one that takes place during the Mongol Empire as well as going through other historical leaders and time periods.

Haven’t played Sea of Thieves for awhile, jumped back in to try these limited time adventures and had a great time playing. I came up on someone that had completed a sea fort which had the item I needed in it. They had a pile of treasure was loading into their boat so while they was distracted I grabbed the artifact and sailed away. I laughed way to hard at myself. Those things take like 10-20 minutes to solo so they had to of been mad when they realized it was missing :joy:

Unfortunately that’s also been my experience. Tokyo is pretty nice in its own right but its just not a very fun game. I’m hoping that Ghostwire Tokyo was just a mismanaged project, hopefully their next title is better.

Yes, I honestly just don’t think the studio is for me. I wasn’t fond of the Evil Within series as well. Oh well.

I loved The Evil Within 1, only played a little bit of 2 but my backlog is massive so I never got all too far in it. I picked it up on Steam the other day along with a bunch of cheap bethesda cdkeys I found. I’ll eventually get around to it.

I hope Everwild is more solo friendly than SoT, if so I am all in.

Hm, not really interested in another MP game like SoT. I hope it’s much, much, much more enjoyable solo and if so I’ll give it a try. Probably my least hyped game from Xbox tbh.

Not my Jam right now.

If it has good solo content then it’s ok.

Deathloop would’ve been better if they didn’t design it around a tacked on multiplayer PvP system still has connectivity issues. Kind of went from my favorite game of 2021 to forgotten about within a week after launch.

Potentially another Sea of Thieves.
