But are there any addons or something to justfiy the definitive editions of those games?
Didn’t play these games but I’m sure there is room to some improvement.
There’s preorder/deluxe edition DLC for both, and I would bet money that both of them get proper DLC that comes out before or alongside the Xbox release.
Arkane always does DLC or standalone expansions for their games.
I wonder if those DLC will have some Sony’s exclusivity clause or something.
I know the Prey-themed shotgun in Deathloop was a PS5 exclusive (i.e. not on PC), but it’s possible this DLC exclusivity expires when the game’s timed exclusivity expires. Just a guess, though.
Edit: Oh, you mean proper expansions. That’s entirely possible but I really hope not.
That would be less bad than if the game itself can’t release on Xbox yet because a expansion or two needs to release first. That would suck bigtime.
I wonder if it might be prohibit the game from coming to Game Pass until all DLCs are released. I am still curious what Nick implied when he mentioned some time ago that there was something in Deathloop contract that he did not like and that he wanted Microsoft to break the contract.
Was that about Deathloop specifically or Ghostwire or about the contracts generally? I can’t quite remember what he said.
I think it was about Deathloop. It was along the lines that “there is something in those contracts, that I wish Microsoft broke them” or something. But let’s ask the one and only @Shpeshal_Nick
I’ve been collecting a bunch of Xbox Game Studios | Bethesda titles for my Steam via cdkeys before my Game Pass runs out. I think I’m venturing a little out of the Xbox ecosystem atm just because the Steam Decks potential compared to cloud gaming.
I’ve picked up within the past 72 hours
Rage 2 deluxe for $15
Ghostwire Tokyo pre-order for $47
The Evil Within for $2 something dollars
The Evil Within 2 for $5 something dollars
Prey for $5
I think Dishonored 2 for $5 something
I’m getting a little afraid about Xbox Game Pass’s future on price increases. Some of the digital rights management on Xbox is also scary, I’ve heard stories of people having their Xbox games taken away and it being all tied to a Microsoft account is idk, its some realization I’ve had. also the PC support for PC Game Pass is lackluster and none of my friends play there (they pay for the service and don’t utilize it).
We’re only speculating here of course but if that were to mean Deathloop isn’t even 2022 then yeah, break that contract, that would be beyond ridiculous.
What sucks so much about these deals is that we won’t have any clarity on this until it’s been a year that the game released.
iirc we know its not that because the deathloop trailers always had ‘not available on other consoles until (insert 1 year after release here)’
i believe tokyo trailers also have that (unlike forspoken/other money hats which dont specify timeframe
Interesting. Sounds like the game could have been shown last year. But then there’s a good chance we’ll see it in June.
I agree I’m sure we will see it at E3 if it is coming out soon. And I also can’t wait to see it since the game sounds really interesting having vehicular combat with smuggling heists.
2023 it is then
2024 Hindle Timeline.
Sounds like 2025 to me
Couldn’t agree more, especially compared to the showcases by the competition and other pubs, I don’t know a good-faith argument to be made to suggest the Xbox showcase wasn’t strong as hell.
I can’t be the only one that thinks Ghostwire Tokyo looks pretty darn neat, despite the reviews? Tango’s always been this sort of studio, very interesting stuff hampered by a few (sometimes hard to overlook) quirks. It’s my kind of game, the type of game I miss from the PS2 era. This and Stranger of Paradise look right up my alley.
