MC lookin good.
I’m pretty sure that was there at launch I had a 50GB download for “offline” data.
it looks like an amazing game
I don’t mean that, that’s just general offline data that is not accurate like the data on the serves. Manual cache allows you to select areas in the world to download the accurate server data offline.
First person…oh no…
Haha.
Well, I’m out, for one.)
First person is the most immersive view for me all the best and most innovative games in recent years were in first person
Skyrim, Minecraft, Bioshock Infinite, Alien Insolation, SUPER HOT, Sea of Thieves, Dishonored 2, PREY, DOOM, Subnautica, Outer Wilds, Half-Life Alyx, Overwatch …
I’m almost certain that we can also switch the 3rd person view but the first person remains the most immersive.
Agreed. I don’t mind first person at all, it’s just that I see the arguments coming. Just wait.
First person, co-op, and GaaS are the trigger words
I can understand GaaS in some form, but first two is silly.
So many games are GaaS games nowadays that the word has kind of lost its meaning, if a game isnt a purely single player cinematic focused one and done game that you never touch again, its a GaaS and that automatically means it’s bad for some people
The coop thing, I can get a little behind because some games feel compulsory to play in coop to have any fun
First person will always be a dumb complaint
And this is the actual future of Xbox’s shows.

JK i Hope and expect to hear from MS on february/march about some show, even If It is a single Game show (redfall)
Nope, I don’t; GaaS is not a genre and doesn’t define the game, it can be a MP, co-op, single player, action, stealth, platformer, whatever genre and still also have a GaaS model to varying degrees. Co-op being a trigger to some is understandable because it’s not about the existence of co-op at all, it’s about the co-op games that are only ever designed and balanced mainly for co-op play, with “friends” and whatnot. Those you can really understand why and we’ve talked about this countless times already, simply not everyone has people to play with or hell even a good connection to play with which is something I’m currently struggling with. The draw is that tweaking some games a bit to be suited for singleplayers shouldn’t be that hard and many games prove this already. I don’t buy the “developer’s intended vision” excuse for the majority of those games. I have had such a blast playing Deep Rock Galactic singleplayer and it’s also designed for co-op at the same time
GaaS is bad for some people because many of these GaaS games want people to play the game for ever with no ending.
A lot of the time you can also ignore that and play your fill of the game. Many also start with a traditional component you can finish and be done with, and if you like you can continue and play the new updates and content they add as part of the service model. It’s a model, it’s not inherintly bad or necessarily good either. It has allowed for some great games and success in the industry and also it was negatively detrimental to others who implemented wrong or didn’t fit their vision from the beginning anyway.
It’s like the $60 model, the subscription model, etc. These things aren’t just either good or bad for the industry or the games, they can be good in ways and not good in others. Things are always nuanced.
Back in the days of the 360, the dedicated XO events were on par with E3 in terms of game reveals. Mass Effect, Bioshock, were all.revealed there.
I think MS do something similar, just not sure when.
I hope this year or next. Last year was fine to celebrate their anniversary. Plus it was nice overall. This year, they’re getting huge. They need more shows.
If 2023 and 2024 are as packed as they appear to be, I assume we’ll see them start this year.
They need at MINIMUM 1 more big event. The E3 or bust mentality is antiquated.
