Based on the present, I totally agree with you, Xbox still all about Halo, Forza, Gears which are played exactly how you described. On paper, Xbox has 50+ game in development we don’t know much about them outside the rumors & speculations which are not helpful to predict what we are waiting from Xbox as consumers. Xbox should do their part to materialize those numbers into reality by sharing infos in conferences, events, shows, updates, social … etc
With GP, Marketing is not issue for Xbox, but sharing Infos and updates about what’s coming in both near & far future is a strength point for any gaming company ( such PlayStation for instance ). I really appreciate the “unofficial” hard work Xbox fans are doing to get Xbox games info and share it with the community such @klobrille , Jez , Brad … but COME ON! It’s Xbox part not the fans XD.
That’s put the majority of Xbox roadmap content in the dark and the results, less hype for future.
Even if xbox games have a co-op componet it doesn’t mean you have to use it. I beat all gears and halo games solo and love them. I will continue to do so. The only time I get mad is when the design of the game doesn’t support single player well(sea of thieves) but its nice to have the multiplayer option. With boarderlands for example after I beatthe main game is when I start doing co-op for a change of pace. Same with gears souls games etc. Im glad Redfall is mentioned as supporting single player specifically and co-op
Their abysmal marketing hinders their games potential, expecially outside NA. I’m still waiting for a comeback of 360 level of greatness in that department, Xbox marketing is…cheap.
Part or what’s so exciting about Starfield is the mystery. We still have no idea what we’re going to do in the game. We’ve seen awesome concept artwork and can only imagine exploring those areas. But we have no idea at all what combat will be like, what kind of quests we can expect, what kind of creatures there will be. What kind of new gameplay systems they might come with since it’s space.
Saw this tweet by Nick. Let’s hope this isn’t the case, I’m gonna be extremely sad if I lose Monster Hunter on Xbox, now that it’s finally here too. But I guess I should prepare for something…
But again, why couldn’t Xbox just swoop in and make a way better offer if this were to happen?
Well, with prepare I don’t only mean Capcom, just the chance of them acquiring a studio I might like and then us with Xbox will lose out. Unless this doesn’t happen at all, only time will tell.
Jeesh, let’s hope not. Just when MH is on Xbox for the first time. MHW was my jam, big, big fucking time , I’d hate for that to happen. I hope Sony after the AB news is now taking it more easy with these kind of deals.
