Xbox Game Studios |OT8| Leaving The Drought Behind And Heading For Starfield

Yeah this was a problem even before that. This isnt just a recent issue

So you think Microsoft is going to gut 66% of the main studios that work on CoD because you have a mysterious cap on an IP?

No IP in MS has 3 AAA studios behind it because none of them are Call of Duty and move that kind of money/require that workforce.

You can’t put 3 studios on one IP when you only have 5 studios

Simple drop support for PS on new COD games (which will happen eventually) and devs will have no problem in making yearly COD… Hell xbox version may work even better to build up for PC version.

I see COD yearly release issue a no problem after games go exclusive

Yearly is still a 3 year development cycle, which is crazy for AAA nowadays.

Expecting some weird experimental shit to come out of Double Fine going forward. With all the different revenue streams Xbox will have coming in they’re playing with house money. Zero expectations. Just create.

Yeah. 3 years is like the minimum now for AAA games and CoD is normally packed with content, you cannot deny it.

Isn’t that something they were always going to do lol ?

The thing is that it is true. Microsoft saw Activision in a weak position and without hesitation bought them.

I find it pretty telling that Tencent, who are an investor in Activision, didn’t outbid Microsoft.

Another myth out the window about xbox not possibly buying studios Tencent has invested in or anybody else.

Lol. Thats what happens when people don’t know what the word “Investing” means.

Not really for linear campaigns + mp maps (most of them every time the same XD).

Even though I don’t have a lot of time to game anymore because my semester started and I’m not supposed to be visiting the site, guess I’ll make some exceptions here and there.

Last night around 11pm I finished my schoolwork and picked up my Razor Kishi to give Rage 2 another shot. The gun play is extremely fun and very iD worthy but the story and characters are very cringe.

I also bought Prey 2006 this morning as it’s from Roundhouse Studios and it’s supposed to be a really good underrated Xbox exclusive first person shooter.

Honestly at this rate I can live for a while playing a backlog of fps titles and Xbox IPs I’ve never gotten around to, hoping to see some Activision titles appear on game pass before the end of the year even if the acquisition isn’t through yet.

I like my series S a lot and at this rate I don’t see a road to upgrading up to a Series X. I like how inexpensive the gaming hobby is with the Series S and I expect that every game from first party will play great on it. No reason to get a Series X unless you NEED to have the best visuals.

I also think cloud gaming is becoming more viable. It works for me now, I use it a lot.

Insane!

I have seen people not feeling confidence about purchasing companies that have been down in the slump before being any better. Like CoD will be great again for example. I think with Starfield, it can very well determine that fate.

It’s all good, just wait it out. Gaming discussion online tends to be very short sighted.

The games will get better under Microsoft.
