MrMattyPlays is reporting he has heard from an “unusual source” that Redfall might be delayed “into the holiday”.
Take this with a massive grain of salt as while Matty has been right many times, it was with different sources.
He also notes that the STALKER 2 delay note hints at many showcases, so that is cool at least.

Redfall gets slaughtered if it launches in the holiday. They will delay to Feb-May next year

This entire redfall situation is reminding me of when everyone was convinced Halo Infinite would be delayed because there was no campaign footage.
Baseless speculation is the absolute worst because you can think of any possible outcome.

October/November is expected to be packed and if Redfall is supposed to be a 1-4 player co-op looter shooter which also means that there will most likely be a roadmap with free content, characters, expansions, etc., I would much rather see it get delayed to early 2023 instead of it not being ready and released anyway.

I will say this, tonally Redfall is a better fit closer to Halloween. Only issue logistically is spacing it from Starfield and Deathloop Xbox (I’d go so far as to argue maybe they should bundle Redfall with Deathloop or something).

I don’t think 2022 will be as wild as people think. I really don’t think GOW, BOTW2, Suicide Squad or AC Next release this holiday. I won’t be surprised if COD is delayed this year either. They threw all the resources they could muster at COD last year, which undoubtedly impacted this year.
I agree with the first three. COD will never get delayed out of November. There is no new AC game this year. Valhalla has a second full season of content for 2022 with a second expansion planned for later in the year. It will still be a packed year though.

I think Starfield is gonna get delayed because they haven’t shown anything /s it’s kinda crazy you don’t hear people say that but you hear people say Redfall is getting delayed because they haven’t shown anything. FFS Turn10 hasn’t shown anything about Forza Motorsport yet and people are like its a damn lock no way it’s not coming out haha.
