Turn10 made well received Forzas in 2-year dev cycles. It’s safe to assume and expect a 4/5year dev cycle they’d make something… big, to say the least.
I’m not into sims much but I do stumble upon that community through Forza Horizon, and Forza’s weaknesses so far have been its audio and multiplayer (eSports scene especially). FH5 tells us they have invested a lot in overhauling their audio quality and systems, and there seems to be attention to multiplayer this time. It’s also important to establish an eSports scene and Microsoft has to help a lot here. The game being on PC gives it some edge over GT7, but that one is cross-gen which is also an edge over Motorsports. Who knows if Motorsports will end up crosss-gen, that might be something Microsoft wants but Turn10 will absolutely fight for it to be current gen only.
Forza Motorsport sounds awesome, but hope they give an update on how career mode is going to work. I felt like career has gotten worse and worse after FM4
Truly Double Fine make some unique and awesome games.
Psychonauts, Broken Age, The Cave all are great. I have yet to play RAD though. Broken Age and The Cave can both be considered smaller games and I’d love to get more of these kind of games, along with some bigger stuff similar to Psychonauts too.
If not a Psychonauts 3, a new IP would be great too. Development of P2 took a long, long time but that was due to several things they aren’t likely to stumble upon now with Xbox backing them all the way.
Yeah, to a certain point. That one didn’t manage to grab me as much, but that was more due to gameplay or combat, wasn’t really feeling it. Might need to give that another shot.
I might sound crazy, but I would be okay if its 2023 because we should be getting some nice Forza Horizon 5 content. I think if their plan is to make FM a service game where they continue to update it then they need to make sure they nail every aspect
I have everything fully upgraded minus the threat sensor. The final core is in a building that is now locked out because I forgot to get it during the mission. It’s really irritating but 343 industries have already said they’ll bring back the mission select screen in a future update.
My main complaint about Halo Infinite is actually the controls for selecting equipment. I am constantly cycling through my equipment but it gets so tedious using the dpad. They should’ve had that slowdown effect that Rockstar uses in GTA V for selecting guns, or Doom.
Im on heroic and I rarely use the threat sensor other than for some of the invisible elites, drop wall I use all the time
As for the equipment selection, I love this game, its incredibly fun but the way equipment is handled is horrendous, I honestly never use the thrust because of how awkward it is to select different things
Thrust + Grapple are things that should be able to be used side by side with dedicated buttons but it’s so awkwardly implented here that I just never use it, it’s horrible and its something they absolutely need to change going forward and for future expansions
Nah, just that from my play through I was only able to muscle memory the Threat Sensor and GrappleShot. It was my first play through and also collectibles run on Normal, so I was always moving slow and exploring where the Threat Sensor helped with seeing if I could explore or had to switch to combat.
If it was easier to switch then I’d have used drop wall more. Probably.
