Damn, im now insanely hyped to see the smaller UE5 project coalition is making. I am hard pressed to tell which 2023/2024 xbox game will set a new bar for graphics, Fable, Hellblade 2, Coalition project, or Perfect Dark.

Fwiw, Sony and MS helped too. Coalition had Kate Rayner and Colin Penty help.
According to Xbox Wire, this was their role:

its the best looking game right now but i would have loved to see more combat in those 6 minutes , i might still play it if the story is as good as the 1st one but i dont want it to be one of those games where i have to push a button a few times every couple of minutes
Xbox had a fine showing, Hb2,Crossfirex tunic, Planet of lana. Gamepass didn’t impress. They could have showed redfall and Stalker 2 as well. BUT I agree with their startagy save YOUR games for YOUR show Inexile,Starfield,Compulsion,Avowed,Fable,Contraband etc are all for E3 2022. Make a fire e3 show, have a e3 2016 sony moment. That show won the gen for them.

In one sense I’m happy. The game Awards should be about awards, in my opinion, not trailers. I’m a bit of a purist like that.
From that point of view, Xbox did well and the lack of splurging on trailers meant the focus largely stayed on teh games already released.
But giving Geoff one trailer both helps with TGA viewership and allows Xbox to get focus on that one game as well. Hellblade 2 looked amazing and rightly is taking all the plaudits as the best looking new game.

Are we sure of that info or was it fanboys speculations ? If it’s already on GP, why the need for a 3 months exclusivity period ? It’s a really dumb idea and helps no one.
3 months came from a Microsoft document in the Apple v Epic case.

lol not fanboy speculation, it was leaked as part of the Apple Epic case (the same one which said The Gunk was a permanent exclusive for some reason)

Seems like Micosoft might be going for shorter timed exclusive windows in general. 12 minutes came out in August and it hit PS4/PS5 3 days ago.
I would love something like Evil West from The Coalition.
