Me too and agreed. This generation could do something that I never thought could happen which is surpass the Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis generation for me.

Saw the new League of Legends fighting game trailer, looks really good. Think the entire fighting game industry will probably get hit hard with what’s possible when that game drops.
Feel bad for whoever is developing KI, Max expects a big budget but personally don’t think MS will give it the budget to even match the quality of the League fighting game let alone give it the proper talent.
I expect Project L to be the market leader of fighting game scene . Riot is going to do big fucking tournaments and constant big updates that no one else will be able to compete with .
Why wouldnt it get a decent budget? KI was one of the few successful IPs MS had in the XB1 gen
I thought I was pessimistic but jeez, they’ve literally said for years they dont want to do KI until they have the right people to do it, so if they are doing it now after all this time then they’ve probably found the right team

no rumours or information on what roundhouse studio is doing ? i know they are not as big or knowed as the other studious but with the right budget i think they can do a great job

I’m more interested with Alpha Dog. Because it is a very very small that Phil can just ‘ask’ Hines to allow the team to grow their employees to 100-ish and to handle a dormant xbox IP and bringing it to life.
Theyre busy on the mobile Mighty Doom game right now, but im really curious if theyre going to continue making mobile games, transition to more traditional games, or move to working on mobile ports/touch controls for xcloud games
The next KI will definitely have a solid budget, the last KI did very well actually. Watch the killer Instinct documentary.
Fighting games are a very difficult genre to master creating because not a lot of western developers have spent any time trying to make them. There’s so many mechanics and deep skill involved with this genre, its especially hard to make new games starting from scratch.
